Always a great trip crossing at night. We had previously booked a cabin but the booking got mishandled. They had cancelled our booking and we were not made aware until we reached the customer check in. There they managed to squeeze us on the crossing but with no cabin.
He assured us that he had us on the priority list and the booking desk on the ferry has that list. We went to the desk once we boarded and were told, we had to put our names down again. At this point there were several people ahead of us. Needless to say, we had to sit in a chair the entire night. I suffer from chronic back pain, that's why we always book a cabin. It was not a very pleasant experience to say the least.

A very big port. The ferries are huge. Very professional staff. Friendly service. The ferry is very well looked after. We felt safe on it with our two mainecoon cats.

just for truckers its - very simple keep driving till here and booths will appear and you go through and make a complete stop and go inside and pay and they will let you know which lane you gonna go. and then go in lane and sit there. you will be guided.

Nice place.
It takes 9 hours on this ferry journey. And ferry has seat and bar. It’s nice to have one beer and feels like 2 dozen. Because the ship wave left right, up and down, front and rear in the same time.

Overnight here a couple nights when touring the Rock for a couple weeks. The place to catch the ferry. Staying at the hotel, shopping and touring around town.

Today was a bit foggy, this is the first and last sights of Newfoundland port this time of year. The drive from here to St. Johns is one not to forget!
