Although coop says they are full service and they are at some locations, Big River is NOT! I get gas there 4-5 times a week and since the manager that's there now staff have not asked once to check my oil or if I need washer fluid. And in the last 3 1/2 years they have only washed my windshield maybe 6 times. The grounds around the station are always dirty. This summer there oil spills at back card lock that were just left there. Piles of dirt at back pumps. There's so much to say about how badly staff are treated. Then they wonder why they can't keep staff. I just picked up application to pull my coop number and manager said I can't unless I move away or when I retire. I WILL NO BE SUPPORTING COOP GAS STATION IN THIS TOWN ANY LONGER.I have never cared to support big corporations over small family businesses but when we moved to Big River the house had coop propane tank. When I went to order propane I was told I had to have a membership or no propane. Now that we no longer receive propane from coop and want to cancel my membership Coop told me I can't unless I move away or retire. I asked if this was disclosed when I had to have a coop number to get propane and lady from coop administration said well it's online and known fact. I stated it wasn't online in 2007 when I got the membership and clearly was not told. So a change of my address it is. Administration also told me it's a coop BY LAW. Like really coop has its own set of by laws. Which lady from administration said are Not given out when you apply for coop number and that managers do not tell you this when you have to get a coop number. What kind of business is this that lock members in for life..... PLEASE SUPPORT family owned and if you live in Big River support the Esso.
