Accueil très chaleureux. Le camping comprend deux parties. Une pour les RV "longue durée" sur du gravier et l'autre sur des emplacement au milieu de la pelouse. Les emplacements sont vastes, le terrain est dégagé. Le camping est un peu à l'écart de la route et très proche de Courtenay. Il est calme. Les sanitaires sont très propres. Les douches sont payantes avec une carte à acheter l'accueil, 1 CAD les 5 minutes. Le bois est de bonne qualité et bien sec. Il y a un petit magasin attenant. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour ici.

Pros:
- Close to Cumberland which is a great town with mountain biking.
- Able to walk to the town of Courtenay. I highly recommend Gladstone Brewing.

Cons:
- The restrooms were randomly out of toilet paper at certain times.
- The showers offer very little privacy and require a card that you must reload at the front office. The front office has “set” hours, but staff was often not present during the open hours.
- As of July 2025, they are putting up fences between every site. This did create some noise, but the fence staff are friendly.
- Campground staff said they will be beginning on the construction of a new clubhouse so I imagine this will create a lot of noise and dust.

Had a nice stay here at the tent sites, lots of space around the campsite made it feel not too crowded. Had a fire ring and was provided with a healthy stack of firewood. In the evening there were so many green and violet swallows flying about the campground near the river, it was beautiful and they probably were keeping the mosquitoes away too!

We wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city and finding this campsite last minute was a gamble. We decided to book for two weeks for partial hook up. Prior to booking we called them and asked for internet speed as we both had to work on line. They kindly checked the speed and we figured it will be good for us. The full hook ups on the top are a little bare and gravelly, but where we are at the lower level is very nice. Not a lot of trees on the site, which make them nice and bright and spacious, the sites are huge, so you have lots of space. If you want to be in the woods then this campsite is not for you. But if you want the quietness and vastness of just being in the presence of crickets, beautiful bees, and occasional hummingbirds this is a perfect spot. The staff are so amazing, the bathrooms are super clean, the campsite is not fully booked which I personally like because it feels like we are surrounded by quiet field. It is only 15 minutes walk from town, the river is literally 5 minutes walk over the bridge.
This is a hidden gem, and as much as I love for it to remain hidden from those who wrote stupid reviews and complained about petty things, but I like to see it busier, because I want these guys to be able to thrive so I can come back here again. ♥️ 💖 ❤️.
At the moment I am sitting in the sunshine and sipping my morning coffee and loving this place.

Nice grass area.
Really weird shower system. Not instinctive.
One of the best part of the camping is Freya bakery located 2min from there, I really recommend to go to.

It is ok. Clean bathrooms and well maintained. Looks like it is a fairly new RV park as there are no large developed trees for shade. The shower pay thing has me puzzled. They charge $5 for a shower card or $1 for a 5 minute shower but if you only use it for one shower they still charge you the full $5. Things that make you wonder.

Really quiet & clean campground
I spent 2 days there. There was not a lot of people, the weather was not great.
Sites are open, few trees & lots of light.
Very quiet, lots of birds & deers 🙂
River access super close.
Bathroom was super clean.
I woke up with a flat tire one morning.
Glenn & Braden were absolute gems and helped me sort it out.
