Contacted this company in June 2024 to request an estimate for a replacement fence between our property and our neighbours. Lovely person, Amy Jansen, responded and she came to our property to review the requirements.

After much discussion and suggestions on her part we asked her to provide an estimate, which she did, and sent it to us in an email. The estimate was reasonable and we accepted it. She explained that due to rainy weather RCOL would only be able to undertake the work in late August, which we agreed to.

Dale and his excellent crew arrived in early September after having to complete several projects delayed during the summer due to the unusually wet weather Edmonton had had.

In just 3 days the old fence was removed, new posts installed, and then the fence and gates completed!

Both our neighbours, and ourselves, are extremely pleased with the professional results achieved by River City Outdoor Living.

We were very impressed with all aspects of the work that River City did on our landscaping recently. It was a pleasure dealing with the owners - Jeremy on the landscaping side and Dale on the fencing side - I was pleased to see them both on site regularly. The landscaping crew, led by Reid, and the fencing crew, led by Paul, were both outstanding. Professional, hard-working, friendly, accommodating - truly skilled people and attention to detail is clearly a priority to them all. We are so happy, not only with the end result but with the enjoyable process. I actually miss having them around. Thank you, Jeremy and Dale!

I would highly recommend River City. We struggled with so many other landscapers either not showing up, taking weeks for a quote, or just not get back to us at all.

I contacted River City, they came to my house to look at the back yard and provide and estimate for a retaining wall the next day. I then decided I would like to book with them and they said they could book me in 2 days. They showed up on time and completed the project in 2.5 days. Our retaining wall looks amazing. We couldn’t be happier with it.

Their quote was fair and they did an excellent and efficient job. I was also impressed with how they cleaned up the area when they were complete.

This is my first review of a company and I feel the need to share my experience. This company was called River City Contracting when the work was done- Dale Langford, owner.
This company put up a residential fence for me 2 years ago. This summer I noticed that a corner fencepost had twisted, separating the upper crosspiece of one of the panels, which now hangs freely. It cannot simply be nailed back in place and requires bracing of some sort. I contacted the contractor Dale this summer, explaining the situation. He said he would swing by to look at it. I explained that I would be away for a few days and requested that he come after that. I received no reply and no follow-up check of the fence. I have since sent 2 emails to Dale with no reply. It is now 2 1/2 months since my initial request. He is obviously not interested in any sort of warranty work!
After spending several thousand dollars for the fence installation, I would expect that he would stand by his work, just two years after installation. Not sure why I must now pay someone else to come and fix something that should have lasted more than 2 years. He has ghosted me and is obviously not interested once the job has been completed and he has been paid.

Update to above review: Dale and I connected, and he sent someone over to make the repair on the fence. So, happy to report that the fence is solid again! Thank you...

Dale and his team installed a vinyl fence for me and I couldn’t be happier with the result!! It looks fantastic, and I’ve had a lot of compliments on my fence from the neighbourhood. They put it up quickly and for a great price. Highly recommended!
