Fantastic staff and location. Had a fantastic time with everyone. Very knowledgeable group of guides that put a lot of effort in to help you fill your tag. The bear hunting experience was unlike anything else i have done and the fishing was awesome as well. I would definitely recommend Riverside Lodge to other hunters and i if will hopefully be back again in the future.

Fantastic people and fantastic services! The hosts and guides are all so kind and work very hard to help you fill your tags! All 9 hunters in our party got bears in the first 4 days and they took care of everything we needed.

Riverside Lodge was exactly as advertised! Gildas and Joanne do everything they can to make sure your stay is a success. Our guide Louie was awesome as well. He worked hard to make sure we had bears to hunt. We had four hunters in our group, and another four hunters in camp. All but one hunter released an arrow or took a shot at a bear. The one hunter that didn't was only due to being selective. He had a giant bear on the bait the last night, but wasn't presented with a great shot opportunity, so he passed. The food was great! You are fed breakfast, lunch, a packed lunch/dinner for your hunt, and then a dinner upon return from your hunt. I tagged out on day 2 with a very nice bear. Night one I saw 5 bears, and collectively the 8 hunters in camp saw 40 or so bears on night one, multiple being color phase. Heat, and the fires slowed down bear movement a bit as the week went on, but that is how hunting goes. Bears were still hitting the baits when things cooled down a bit in the late evenings. The fishing was great. We kayaked a way down the river, but the fishing seemed to be best right off of the dock at the lodge. Landed multiple 21"+ walleye, and a ton of nice pike. We bear hunted, but it was easy to see that there are a ton of other awesome opportunities for hunting in the area. If you are interested in bear, waterfowl, deer, or any other form of hunting that Riverside Lodge offers, don't hesitate to book. You won't be disappointed! Thank you Gildas, Joanne, and Louie for a great week!

Best hunting experience that I’ve had, Joanne and Gildas are absolutely incredible, amazing meals provided every day along with delicious lunches packed for you to take to the stand. There are A LOT of bears including color phases from chocolate to cinnamon, everyone in my camp (10 hunters) saw plenty of bears. You will certainly have an unforgettable experience at Riverside Lodge!

I hunted Black Bear at Riverside Lodge the week of 9/10/23. Gil and Joann stand for Honesty, Integrity, Professionalism and provide good old fashioned Customer Service. I stayed in the Lodge which was clean, comfortable, quie and private. I shared a bathroom and shower with two other Hunters but there was never a problem. The meals were plentiful and incredible to say the least and desert was simply amazing. The Hunting process has obviously been refined over the years to perfection and is one of the best I have ever been a part of. The Bear density was good and all hunters in camp were successful. This was my fifth Bear and best to date. Bottom line is they say what they do, do what they say and there are no Surprises. I highly recommend Riverside Lodge. Randy Davis

Highly recommended! I enjoyed my first trip so much I went back a second time and hopefully a third time in the near future. Gildas and Joanne are wonderful people, food and lodging is excellent and the bears are big and numerous!!
