After losing my faithful friend of almost 11 years in March this year, I started doing research on local Lab breeders. Rockmaple came highly recommended by my veterinarian and so I made an inquiry about a puppy. Fast forward 6 months and let me introduce Archie, the most loving, balanced, and extremely intelligent dog I could ever have wished for, oh, and did I mention handsome! From the first visit to Rockmaple, my husband and I were impressed with the family atmosphere and obvious love of the dogs Peter had. The kennels were clean and the puppies fat and happy. We were able to visit the pups each week and spend time sitting with them and handling them. We also met Peter's Dad, Arthur, on a couple visits who shared stories of litters past and present. We finally got to bring our puppy home and from the first walk we have had total strangers come up and comment what a beautiful dog he is and many ask if he is one of Peter's dogs. I have nothing but praise for Rockmaple. They love their dogs like family, and it shows through in the temperament and care they take to raise happy, healthy, stunning best friends. I highly recommend Rockmaple Kennels and if we ever need to leave Archie behind for a trip, I will be asking Peter to board him there as well. I know Archie will be loved and exercised and given lots of doggy play time and swims.

Recently me and my partner trusted this business to look after our 3 little dogs for vacation. We trusted that they would have safety and be in a clean environment. After 5 days of being away and completely uncertain when we left them we returned to pick our dogs up only to find them dirty, smelling like urine and feces. To top it all off we had to throw away 2 blankets and a bed because it was unusable. Our dogs were clearly not looked after because nearly 700$ later from vet trips one of our dogs nearly lost the sight in one eye do to a serve scratch and the other had a bacteria infection on his backside with both of them having diarrhea. When I spoke with Peter on the phone about all of this after laughing a few times he advised he was to busy sibthat told me our dogs were not looked after. I guess putting animals threw this and us threw this was funny. Before dealing with this company educate yourself before buying or leaving your animal with someone that has no intention of making sure they remain safe and in good health. Be fully aware people!

We made so many visits before getting our pup I was sure peter was going to get sick of us. But he was always welcoming, took so much time out of his day for us, and answered all of our questions. Our pup is six months now and is an absolute dream. Great temperament, smart, and so handsome. I recommend Rockmaple to anyone looking for an addition to their family.

My first experience with Rockmaple Kennels was when my husband convinced me to visit them, just to "meet Peter's father, Art Dauphinee, and see the new litter of pups", as I was firm about not wanting to get a dog. But, when the pups all ran out of the barn to greet me, I could no longer resist. We came home with our girl, Gabby, a couple of months later.

That was 18 years ago and Gabby has been gone five years but we have returned twice since then to meet Peter and his family, and bring home Murphy, then his little half-brother, Guinness (the tiny runt of the litter).

We've been coming to Rockmaple Kennels for over 20 years for boarding and we got 2 of our labs here. For boarding I can tell you, you will have peace of mind while away knowing your precious furbaby is being well looked after, exercised and well loved. We fondly refer to it as Doggie Disney. For breeding, they are fantastic. Our male lab lived to be 15.5 years and healthy all that time. Our second lab is almost 10 months and she is perfect.

He’s such a great puppy and you can definitely see he gets it from his fantastic parents!
