I have had an extremely horrible experience at this Rona store. Six years ago, we purchased and had installed a home furnace and air conditioner unit from Rona on Barnet Highway in Coquitlam. Rona had told me that they would complete a manufacturers warranty form to extend warranty from 5 years to 10 years which they neglected to do. Everything worked fine for six years as it should. In the 6th year, the blower stopped working. I called Rona to get me someone to replace the blower. That's when I realized that Rona was the wrong supplier choice. They had no record of my purchase. They didn't have any record of the installer. Fortunately, I had the purchase records and went to the store to talk to someone in the appliance department. They had a sales assistant looking after paint, small appliances, and other appliance related matters. When I met this individual at the store, he was very defiant. Instead of trying to assist me and help me solve the problem he insulted me out of the store.
I ended up calling a plumbing company to help replace the blower.
Don't buy any appliances especially major appliances from RONA. They have no idea how to treat and help customers. Buy instead from Home Depot. They back their products better than Rona. Home Depot warrantied and replaced my hot water tank twice. Rona is now part of Lowes (An American company).

I walked in looking for “some wood” (very specific, I know), and within seconds, Morgan appeared like a majestic forest spirit, ready to guide me through the mystical world of 2x4s and plywood.

Not only did he help me find the perfect lumber for my project, but he also somehow explained the difference between pressure-treated and non-pressure treated wood in a way that made sense to my caveman brain. He even stopped me from choosing a warped board that, in his words, “would turn your project into modern art—whether you want it to or not.”

If Rona has an employee of the month wall, Morgan deserves to have his face carved into a slab of premium oak. 10/10, would let him pick my lumber again

Home improvement shop. Lots of merchandise and helpful staffs. Lots of free parking outside too. Shelves are stock very high. Yes, prices not cheap, maybe why not many customers. Parking lot always has spaces. But I enjoy shopping there. Always fit my needs.

Jake and Jackson rock the business there. Super helpful, fantastic knowledge about wood material. Really appreciate their help. Also, great location for construction and home projects need. Lots of tools and a huge selection. Many free parking and a central location.

We're doing a bedroom renovation, starting with laminate flooring. Jeff was very helpful showing us stock, giving under layment suggestions and helping us understand how the boards lock together and general tips and tricks.

Very helpful and will return

I’m officially done with this place. Anything you can’t pick yourself takes a ridiculous amount of time to get. Prices here aren’t competitive but I had the convenience of living a block away.

I’ve picked 7 or so tubs here in the last few months. If you go to the front to ask about a tub they send you to the back. If you ask the back they send you to the front. I can buy the exact same tub for a lower price elsewhere. It would be worth it if I saved time but I don’t.

I was in here almost daily, sometimes multiple times a day for years but I am done wasting time and money.

Probably the worst customer service you will encounter. No friendly faces. No one comes to help you. No one cares. This branch tries to proudly say they are a Canadian franchise and better than home depot which is American, but makes you feel like you are in a communist third world country. No one to help, no one smiles, no one cares about you. Absolutely ridiculous

To begin with I wasn’t happy with this rona as their stock is limited, Customer service isn’t that great except the customer service lady and the gentleman from Hardware.
As a general contractor i buy everyday lots of merchandise from Rona, home depot, and multiple suppliers stores whichever is closed to my job location.
On Oct 17, around 9 am i was at rona to return few outlet covers as i bought extra and one timer switch for bathroom Fan. The customer service lady called someone from electronics department to check the item. Item was in original packaging and everything was in good condition. Except you could tell the wires have been used, which i mentioned i connected to power which didnt work that was the reason for return.
In packaging it mentioned no neutral wire required. When i opened the timer it had neutral wire which needed to be connected with my power in unit. According to diagram they want me to connect neutral wire with ground wire. I don't feel safe wiring it that way especially for an apartment unit.

The electrical department guy started telling me i didn’t follow the instructions and he can’t sell it back to customers etc.
For $42 timer switch he wasted my time And his tone was rude. If it was home depot return, even if i didn’t have the receipt or item was not in original packaging they would happily take it and with a smile.
I told him i am done with this store with this kind of customer service.
I avoided buying materials i needed for the day and i went to home depot in Port Coquitlam and spent $306+ . That is only one of my purchases for that day. I buy thousands of dollars per month but i won’t be visiting this store.
