I just wanted to give a big thank you to Esther, the head cashier at customer service, pick-up, and returns. Her customer service was absolutely amazing! She was friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. It’s rare to come across someone so patient and efficient. Esther made my experience quick and stress-free. She truly deserves recognition!

Would not recommend or shop at Rona again because it's not reliable. I spent 25k in bathroom renovation with Rona. But after just 2 years of use, I had to spend another over 6k to hire other company to tear apart and redo leaky shower. The following are my issues with Rona
A) Flawed Designed Product
1. Shower Base didn't hold Water, Slowed drip from day one but not showed until 2 years later. Molds underneath shower base see pictures)
2. Shower Thermo Knob bound up after 1 year, 2nd one same)
B) Poor Workmanship: Contractor didn't install properly (crooked everywhere, 1 inch gap between bottom of glass shower and top of base, using silicon to fill gap), didn't know where leak was and kept patching.
C) Lack of Service: Rona doesn't stand by warrant. No recommendation/Suggestion, should not sell poor designed product)

Rona’s Negligence and Lack of Accountability – A Terrible Customer Experience

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Rona and want to warn others about their lack of responsibility when it comes to customer property damage.

A few months ago, my parked car was hit by one of Rona’s shopping carts in their parking lot. At the time, I was sitting inside my car, and a Rona employee was standing nearby, witnessing the entire incident. When I spoke to the store manager, they assured me that the matter would be handled by their head office. However, after three months of waiting, I received a response from their insurance company, Aviva Canada, stating that my claim was denied.

Why this is unacceptable:
1. Failure to Take Responsibility
‱ Businesses have a duty to maintain a safe environment for customers. Shopping carts should be properly managed to prevent them from rolling into parked vehicles. Despite clear evidence that their cart caused the damage, Rona refuses to acknowledge responsibility.
2. Refusal to Provide Evidence
‱ I requested access to surveillance footage to confirm exactly what happened, but Rona refused to provide any detailed video or explanation. If they conducted a fair investigation, why withhold key evidence? This lack of transparency is highly concerning.
3. Leaving Customers to Pay for Their Negligence
‱ Because of Rona’s failure to properly manage their shopping carts, my vehicle was damaged, and now I am left with a $1,000 repair bill. Instead of doing the right thing, they are avoiding responsibility and shifting the burden onto customers.

This experience has shown me that Rona does not stand by its customers. If they can’t even take accountability for something as simple as shopping cart safety, how can they be trusted with bigger purchases and services? I will not be shopping at Rona again, and I encourage others to think twice before supporting a business that refuses to do the right thing when it matters most.

If you park at Rona, be prepared to take on all risks yourself—because they certainly won’t help you when things go wrong.

Terrible customer service experience. Tried to return an item, because I overbought. I had misplaced the receipt. I did have the credit card on me that I used, the statement, that showed the date I bought it (less than 30 days), the amount I paid, the quality I bought and I was able to tell them which line I went though.

They claim they couldn't look it up in the system so all they could do is give me a store credit and at the lowest sale price.

Funny that this is the only company that cannot track past sales. given the number of years I personally worked in retail it's more than shocking that a company cannot backtrack their sales which wasn't even bought a month prior.

I'm posting this review so that others, don't suffer what I've experienced. Going forward I will only shop at this location only if I cannot find the item I need another way. At least Home Depot, Home Hardware, even Amazon know how to provide better customer experience then this location and that's saying something.

We'd been visited many stores to purchase 5 pieces of appliances. We met Adil, manager of the appliances department. He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and very professional. Although prices were competitive among all stores, his excellent customer service made the difference. We are very happy with our purchase and truly grateful of Adil's help.

I’m Very disappointed with the service. We bought a window cleaning pole that turned out to be defective. When we asked for a refund, Ryan and the assistant manager refused and walked away mid-conversation, ignoring us completely. The lack of professionalism was frustrating. Experiences like this are exactly why we prefer shopping at Home Depot, where the staff are much more helpful and respectful. If I could give zero stars, I would. As a young customer, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
