Manager of the floor (was on his phone speaking a different language avoiding eye contact in the corner of the store) the only employee I could find to help with a question locating items (other than the building supply workers behind their desk who were helpful).

Manager avoided eye contact and obviously having a phone conversation not relating to work in non-English.

Would be nice to have one employee on the floor, especially the manager assist customers at 4:20pm on Sunday Feb 2, 2025.

Expect more from Lowes.

Home improvement store plus more. This location is huge with a large selection of home improvement things. It’s well lit and clean. I came looking for a specific colour of spray paint and was able to find it. I could not find it at other home improvement locations so I was impressed with the size of this location. The staff is friendly and courteous.

I had a terrible experience with an employee named “Ray.” My reason for the visit was to return a lock I initially purchased from Ray at the Emerald Hills location. I didn’t have the original box since it had been recycled during our moving process, and I had not fully tested the lock, which didn’t work at all. I had my original receipt, and he waved his arms in the air, repeating over and over again, “How am I supposed to sell this?” while throwing it onto the counter. He asked me, “Where is the box?” I explained to him that I recycled it along with my moving boxes and that it wouldn’t be able to be “sold” because it was defective. He said “whatever” while I was speaking and walked away.

I waited, and when he returned, he repeated to me again, “How am I supposed to sell this?” He said he couldn’t give me a refund and asked me if I wanted my receipt. I told him no thank you, as there was no use for it if I was not able to refund the item. I left without the receipt, without the defective lock, and without a refund, and in shock at the way I had been treated as a customer and citizen—completely unacceptable. I will not be returning to the store or buying anything from Rona again, I understand the circumstances were not ideal but in the past at Home Depot I have never once had any issue returning anything, especially if it was defective.

First problem is I have noticed on multiple visits that a lot of part bins seem to be mixed up. I realize there are people that pick up a part then for some reason change their mind and put the part into the wrong parts bin. But I rarely find that in other hardware stores. Probably because the other hardware stores have someone check each parts bins and if an incorrect part is in the wrong box they move it to the correct box. I realize that sorting and correcting parts bins is an extra cost but not doing so is frustrating for the customer.
My next problem is the store layout. A few weeks ago I went to purchase an electrical outlet. I went to the electrical section and could not find the part even though online it said the store had lots of the outlets in stock. I asked an employee and he checked and said that outlet was in the lighting section on the other side of the store. Some electrical outlets in the electrical isle, some electrical outlets lighting isle? Doesn't make sense.

Zach, a jolly fellow who offered help when I met him on the aisles saved me time and from frustrations looking for an item which seems difficult to find at the store- thanks so much Zach. Five Stars for the Store, Zach and the store Manager who was the cashier at the time confirming Zach and Roy’s names. I rated it 4-stars as the appliances specialist?, Roy, who’s comfortably sitting at the time when I asked help, gave me directions though where could I possibly find the item, but that’s all he did. Passed by him again after my searching, still sitting on his chair doing nothing, and met Zach after whose mentoring a young store associate and gladly asked me if he could be of help as I pass by - within 2 minutes with his help I got the items I need.

Yesterday I stopped at this store just before 6pm to buy some lumber that was stocked only in the parking lot. They had pallets of sidewalk blocks on all the lumber in the parking lot, I’m guessing to prevent theft. I was advised the forklift operator had just left for the day and I’d have to return. What a waste of a trip!

Had a great experience at this store thanks to Lauren. She is so down to earth, helpful and made me feel welcome in the store where I felt very out of place. Lauren absolutely makes such a positive difference! Definitely recommend shopping at this location. Thank you for making my experience extra awesome!
