ALBERTA 'S OPEN FARM DAY is an excellent way to learn about our beautiful province especially our farm lands.

We visited the wonderful " Rosy Farms " where they have a variety of Haskap berries.

This is an eco friendly and organic farm . What impressed me most is the owner who has such a passionate enthusiasm for his profession . I joined the tour ,where he explained in detail about how he started farming . His knowledge about the crops in his farm was interesting and informative.

I also picked some containers of Haskap berries. They have a small shop where we can purchase some products.

It was a very interesting and wonderful experience.

Went to visit an old friend from Highschool and turns out he’s grown into an amazingly knowledgeable and hardworking First Generation farmer!
I’m beyond impressed with the u-pick, the quality of berries and the on hand products to purchase. I highly recommend checking them out next season if you haven’t already. Don’t forget to try the most amazing ice cream from their freezer while you are there! Keep up the great work Andrew! We will be back 🙂

My husband and I had such an amazing time at rosy farms u-pick.
I had no idea how beautiful a regenerative farm can be. This farm is like no other, and the variety of haskap berries were amazing to try!
I highly recommend planning a trip out and making a day of it before the season is over!

This is our first time to Rosy Farm on Alberta Open Farm Days. We picked a lot of Haskap berries and great recommendation for outdoor u-pick from activity for the weekend. Great family experiences with kids ☀️

Awesome place to pick some haskap. Different varieties and they’re all good. Hubby and I come to Rosy farms every u-pick season. We got to know Andrew since day one we went, and he is always happy to take the time to chat and tell you the best spots to pick. Highly recommend visiting the farm and picking some berries. We became fans of this farm and their products. We got to taste Haskap for the first time, and now it became one of our favourite fruits! Must go farm to visit with the family, pick some delicious haskap and other delicious products. 🥰

Rosy Farms is a gem! Our family had the loveliest time picking haskaps. The drive from Edmonton was scenic and dotted with farms and canola in bright bloom.

The young ladies who work there were clear in explaining the rules to us and letting us know which haskaps were the ripest/best for picking. It was fun walking along the rows of plants searching for the plumpest, sweetest berries. A meditative and delicious experience.

In addition to haskaps, there is haskap ice cream (super tasty!), jam and juice available for purchase.

We brought plenty of water, snacks, hats, bug repellent and sunscreen. We lucked out with a light breeze that morning which kept the bugs at bay.

The friendly and kind staff also shone bright (Madison and Mia & one additional young lady). They offered to pick up one of our family members who was having a tough time walking that day which was very much appreciated.

We had such a fantastic time that we’re coming back in a week or two when other varieties are ripe and ready. Highly recommend!
