» - Nadir

Too many people going for food. No provision for sick people.everyone must line up, the strong can stand up for two or more hours. People coming with cars for food too. I am 88 years old and have to join the line as well.while being sick.I could barely stand up for a minute.

They were rude to me. I knew From the moment I called that they didn't want to help.Okay, everything that I have is broken OK and they said they can't replace the furniture.I don't have furniture. That's the whole point.

Most of the people there are pretty nice. The girl with the braids The tall one who was the purple sweater? She's a freaking mean person she talks to people as if they're idiots, she needs to change her demeanour.

They made everything very easy. From the initial message of donation to pickup, it was a great experience.
It feels really good to know that what I no longer need will be going to people who need help getting their lives started.
So yes, I will tell other people that this is where they should go, if they have gently used furniture that could help someone else.

Nice staff although the food bank isn't great family of 4 gets about 8 items but one good reason is they have pet food if you need it.

I used to donate my used clothes to Value Village, but I'm so bothered by the idea of the store profiting off my donations, while people in need have to buy these items that should be free! I did some research in my community and found this program. I popped into the clothing drive and was so glad to see that people in need had access to clothing free of charge. This is how it should be. I also walked by the food bank area, and was glad to see people in need getting donations.
Is the building falling apart, yes. But we all know the city budget is limited. Unless you want your taxes and donations going to the building rather than the actual program, then relax. The priority is people eating.
It's not perfect, but our community is blessed to have a food bank and clothing drive available to people in need. There are a lot of places in the country where this is not an option and people literally go hungry.
If you have good quality donations (food or clothes), there is a massive need here. Support your community!
