They had the best chicken ever, so cheap and it was tender. The employee helped us find sun dried tomatoes that were vital to our recipe. The sweet cashier recommended us the chocolate cake which was decadent. The store serves the town of Inverness and neighborhood. Very convenient if you ever visit Inverness or stay in a cabin nearby.

Was on a long vacation in Nova Scotia. Went here for things for our stay. Getting on their wifi in the store, it offers $5 off $40 if you sign up for emails. We'll be here a while. Why not!

Signed up, never got a coupon for $5 off, never got any emails from them (we tried several different emails on 2 different phones and yes, we've been checking spam. A week later and no emails / no coupons.

We wanted to use the coupon on the purchase in the store. The store staff had NO CLUE about this. 1 employee didn't seem to know what wifi was.

5 employees and us debating / 2 cashwraps not ringing up customers. We wound up leaving all the food we had in the cart there and told friends that were coming up to buy in Halifax or somewhere other than a Sobey market.

Cody, the manager was supposed to call me and didn't. I called 6 days later. He wasn't feeling well. Said that he would have honored the promotion. Doesn't help us now... 6 days and loads of KM away. His staff has no clue / can't think on their own without him it seems. We're avoiding any sobey stores now.

Quaint (for those of us from larger cities) general type store with pleasant staff and even more pleasant customers (some of which got involved in our search for plastic wine glasses). A charming element of life in Inverness, Especially Breton.

We loaded up with groceries on our way to the rental house for a few days. A reasonable selection of food items. No alcohol on offer and no capers but they are hard to find in some big markets. We were satisfied.
