I love this cute general store.

You can tell the locals patronise this place. Great for conventional items and fresh fruits and veggies.

Expensive as all heck, but that's not uncommon for island life. Just buy groceries on the way over if doing a day trip. Especially if you're looking for deals. They don't really do them here. And even moreso if you're trying to feed a bunch of people.

Lovely staff (one person I didn't like is gone) and quick service. I recommend it but it will hurt your wallet.

We tried both the flake and flounder and neither were particularly nice. My girlfriend couldn’t finish her fish because it was “gooey” between the fish and the batter. The calamari rings were okay.

Sells a bit of everything, including alcohol. Most of the lights weren't on in the back half of the store making it awfully hard to see anything.

Unfortunately the staff at the store are not very welcoming and customer service does not exist and based on other people's reviews , it's sad to think it's because they knew that we were tourists. We went there 2 different times and had the same rude experience. They should come to vancouver and learn about hospitality and manners and customer service.

Terrible terrible store, generalize everyone as a tourist if they haven’t been there. Tells us that they’re a grocery story and if we don’t have a purpose we shouldn’t be going. Then proceeds to down talk their customers saying we were there with no purpose
 when we wanted to grab some snacks for the road.
Who walks in to a grocery store with no purpose? People have better things to do than that. If we are walking everywhere it’s because we don’t know where anything is. Pretty self explanatory. Instead of being rude, maybe help your customers? Hospitality 101, way to make a name for Bowen Island.
Very very rude, if you’re looking to get something, don’t come to this store because it seems you MUST be a local.

I do not live on the island but visit 3-4 times yearly. It seems that staff at the store are way more attentive, welcoming and talkative to the locals only. Especially during Covid I felt very unwelcomed.
