I have said for years I was going to do a review. Since I have lived in Beaumont for over 10 years I feel it’s a must. Bakery department super unfriendly as is the rest of the store staff. It’s hit or miss with who decides to greet you. Few members I know so they often are friendly but I cringe every time I have to go there. On a positive note there are some good deals. I generally would rather travel to Millwoods to Sobeys off 50st as Eduardo used to manage there and had excellent outstanding customer service. Sure do miss his positive energy he brought to the whole entire store. So now I stick to Costco and as for Sobeys Beaumont hopefully one day it becomes a completely all around happier place. Won’t hold my breath though.

Prices are so high I don't even know how it's legal. For example Crave frozen dinner on sale at no frills for $3.00 is $6.49 at this Sobeys.
That's just one example off the top of my head.
Bought a wrap from the deli today, they only had chicken in the middle where they cut the wrap in half, the rest of the wrap was empty.
This is deception.
Companies like this deserve to go bankrupt.

Beaumont Sobeys, I am compelled to express my concerns about the racism I experienced while working here, despite nearly a decade of retail experience in Canada. I hesitated to write this review until I met someone who confirmed my suspicions about your poor management practices, particularly the apparent favoritism towards family members when it comes to hiring.

Brett, as the store manager, it is crucial for you to take responsibility and act professionally. I will also be sending a letter to your head office regarding these issues.

Let me share how this unfolded: I initially started in the produce department and was performing well. Randy, the produce manager, even indicated that I could be his replacement next year due to my eight years of experience and positive performance reviews.

However, everything changed when the assistant produce manager, Sierra, returned from her vacation. Her rudeness and micromanagement were unacceptable—constantly referring to me as "hey, hey, do this, do that." I explicitly requested that she call me by my name, yet she persisted in this behavior. Furthermore, she altered my schedule on the same day and began texting me on my personal number. When I brought this to the attention of the produce manager, he took no action.

Ultimately, he informed me that he could not continue working with me. I felt disrespected and undervalued. Additionally, Brett, it is concerning that you rarely seem present in the store and fail to grasp the ongoing issues.

Why do you remain silent when a brown employee raises a complaint about an incident in the store? Why has no action been taken against Sierra? It appears that you prefer to maintain a work culture that favors your own people and family members, rather than addressing the real issues at hand. This needs to change.

The bakery alone is worth the visit! Lay out is sometimes hard to navigate, but all around a nice location and great staff

Not the best Sobeys I’ve ever been in - meat is not great quality and usually expensive. The staff are hit or miss - sometimes super friendly but some of the younger staff prefer to talk to each other rather than customers. They do have fresh produce, a great bakery, the shelves are usually stocked full, and they have tons of local Alberta goods. Overall, not a bad Sobeys for a grocery shop.

I was there day before yesterday, to get some groceries and my baby (2) decided to take a nap. When I was ready to checkout, the checkout clerk not only treated me with smile and asked how my day was but when he noticed little baby asleep in my arms he offered to bag my groceries for me

Mark thank you so much! A little kindness goes a long way. I cannot thank you enough for the support you offered to me that day. Really appreciate it!!

I can't find what I used to buy here. They took out the organic section and replaced it with a small area called natural baking. I have been looking for over a month for Oasis pineapple juice which has only one ingredient. But they offer other juice with many unhealthy ingredients. I don't think they care about healthy choices like before. It's sad because I really liked this store but it's time to go elsewhere
