The staff members are great. I accidently broke a large glass bottle of olive oil, and it got all over myself and the aisle. I felt horrible, because cleaning up oil is a pain, but the workers made it seem like no big deal. They gave a few cloths to clean myself and my boots up, and sent me on my way. I deeply appreciated that they didn't make a massive deal of it.
I also appreciate that they have the Canadian products labeled, and often have pretty good sales.

They don't have a website that shows prices. They often have things on sale that cost less at other stores.

We went to Sobeys and they gave someone else cash receipt to use. This meant we had to make two trips costing us gas they never repaid us for. I purchased lotto tickets and I had winning tickets to purchase the new ones but I still was overcharged. These people cannot be trusted.

Here is my problem with Sobeys. The sale price is great. It is the regular price of $19.82 / kg. A national competitors regular price is $11.00 kg for fresh cherries.

I guess food safety is not important. How many days does it take to get that degree of freeze burn. Where is a health inspector when you need them? Would you pay $6.49 for Sobeys freezer burnt ice cream?

Great staff but need more selection in bakery & other goods. Prices are creeping up. I like the way they have marked Canadian items.

Most of the staff is friendly & helpful if you're looking for/asking about something.
The store is pretty clean. Prices are about the same as anywhere else.
If you're going in for a sale item, Arrive early, the day of the sale or they will be sold out.
Often times there are only 2 cashiers & no Express or fast cashier opened so waiting in line can at times be a long wait.
We find the seafood department is limited in variety of fresh seafood options. Overall, for the Kingston/Greenwood area it's a good grocery store with the pharmacy right inside the store which is very convenient.

Today, I had a horrible experience at this store when I was unnecessarily treated with disrespect and a violent attitude.
They had a display of broccoli and on either side a large yellow Pilon (not due to wet flow, just for looks - one took up half the isle and an elderly couple was discussing the sale of spinach. I couldn’t go around because of the Pilon that was there for looks only so I pushed it gently and slowly with my cart to get around and move it behind the display so people could get by. The man in produce came up grabbed it and SLAMMED IT DOWN on the floor HARD making a loud noise, startling me and then starred right at me as if to intimidate me for moving his Pilon.

I don’t care what country you come from - this is Canada! We don’t use violence ever in speech or action against anyone but especially a child, woman or the elderly, especially at a public store!

I will not ever come back to this store again. I would hope no one would need to be taught manners but using violent actions to intimidate and prove anger from a 6.3’ man towards a 5.1’ elderly woman is pathetic from whatever country you come. These are not the actions of a man, nor someone who should be in retail! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
