Southlands is one of my favourite nurseries, I love that it’s out of the city with the charming rural and vintage aspects. I’m mainly shopping for house plants and most are reasonable.. but then some are completely ludicrous! They try and sell some more sought after varieties that are sick and unhealthy… like this philodendron gloriousum that was clearly diseased for 180 bucks.

Southlands Nursery is an amazing place to go. Very Huge area in this expensive neighbourhood make a classy impressions. They have many choices of seeds, their plant collections are unique, decorations inside the store were so inspiring though. Had self-serve chocolate drink for free.
I fall in love with their mini cactus bright color and put in the rattan basket. So lovely and worth to have.
They also have Dahlia house separated from main store, and offer so many kind of dahlia seed.

you have to mark Southland Nursery on “place need to go” list. You will not regret it. 👍👍👍👍

I don’t understand why some people are so unhappy with other people.
We always enjoy our visits to this lovely, very thoughtfully and well put together nursery. Another thing that I noticed on our recent visit was how the coworkers were joking and getting along with each other. And the amazing displays and beautiful variety of plants. Some are very expensive but I am sure there is nowhere else that these types and qualities can be found. The antiques are a pleasure to see and the offerings I have not seen so many in one place before.
I am saddened by how some customers feel so entitled that they think it’s ok to put others down.
We have been coming here for some years now and will continue to enjoy the ambiance and services offered by the dedicated and helpful people working here.
Positive attitude from me brings positive attitude from thee. Or, what goes around comes around.
Thank you guys for your efforts and creativity.

This is one of our favourite spots to visit. There are regular and varied shipments of everything related to landscaping. From trees, perrenials, annuals, succulents, orchids, cacti, air plant, planters etc etc etc and more.
There is also a collection of eclectic landscaping show pieces. We try to miss the weekend rush and visit Thursday or Friday.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff and one can tell by the displays and arrangements that there is deep conviction here to cater to their clients. Even a coffee nook (gratis) demonstrates their care.
You won't be disappointed.

I loved the information and advice given by the ladies in the store regarding the orchids and media materials. Great choice on plants in general. Big selection on kitchen herb. Big surprise on the chocolate mint and different selection on mint and herbs in general.

Such a hidden little neighborhood gem! What surprised me the most was their selection of semi rare/less common indoor plants (Thai Constellation, cebu pothos, etc) and garden antiques. You could spend easily spend over an hour exploring the nursery while enjoying their small selection of complimentary coffee beverages. Friendly and knowledgeable staff too. They have free parking and are also suuuuuper dog-friendly! Be sure to take a basket or cart before you start 😉

Easy to find and always fun to visit the nursery and have a browse thru their latest additions to the floor.

The staff here know their plants and are happy to offer advice to make up a pretty planter or to choose from their beautiful pots.

They always make my dog feel welcome and he enjoys the treats.

Very festive setup with a large pumpkin display in the parking lot (came to visit before Halloween).

Went in on a Saturday morning before lunch, not busy at all. Able to find parking in their lot.

The staff for the most part are wearing masks and the cashier does have small plastic shield separating the cashier to the customer (see pictures).

Nicely presented and displayed place with interesting and unique plants that might not be able to find at other retailers. Prices are reflective of the area the store is located.

Did not get what I wanted as I was looking for garlic to plant and all that was left were some white russian garlic cloves. They had moved out a lot of their nicer garlic's due to the season.

Overall, would probably return to buy things if needing ideas for plants , flowers and displays. Otherwise would probably head to other retailers for more general gardening needs
