I visited here last year around summer time and forgot to put a review for this place.
If you’re looking for a winery experience in Kelowna that’s authentic, intimate, and full of heart, Sperling Vineyards is an absolute must-visit. Tucked away from the crowds but close enough to the city, this family-run estate offers a perfect blend of heritage, innovation, and natural beauty.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth. The tasting room staff were not only incredibly knowledgeable but also super down-to-earth — no wine snobbery here, just people who really love what they do and love sharing it with you.

🍇 The Wines? Unforgettable.
Sperling focuses on organic and biodynamic practices, and you can taste the purity and care in every glass. Their Old Vines Riesling and Amber Pinot Gris were personal favorites — crisp, balanced, and totally unique. If you’re into natural or low-intervention wines, this place is a dream. Every sip feels handcrafted, alive, and expressive.

🌿 The Setting? Peaceful and Scenic.
Surrounded by rolling vines, rustic buildings, and a calming vibe, the winery feels more like a secret garden than a commercial spot. There are picnic tables outside, perfect for sipping and relaxing under the sun. It’s quiet, photogenic, and the perfect place to unwind.

🍷 The Experience? Personal and Memorable.
We loved hearing about the Sperling family legacy — four generations of winemakers rooted in Kelowna’s history. The stories made each wine even more meaningful. You can feel the pride in every detail.

If you’re tired of the same cookie-cutter wine tours and want something real, raw, and remarkably good, Sperling is where you go. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or just curious, you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for what great wine is all about.

Really enjoyed our visit here. The natural wine tasting was excellent. Lovely grounds which you're free to walk around. Only issue with this place was we didn't go earlier.

Location is very nice and they encourage you to bring lunch or snacks to have with your wine. They have nice tables set up outside in different areas. They even have a kids play area to allow you to enjoy your wine while the kids play. The winery is historically significant as the oldest in BC and they have some very interesting and unique wines as well. Paul and Melina were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

My girlfriend went to the washroom while I ordered food at the food truck outside, which wasn’t part of the winery’s business. Afterward, I spoke with the man inside, who was incredibly polite, even offering to throw away my girlfriend’s tissue for her. He then kindly directed us outside to where the staff was handling wine flights. We sat down and were fully expecting to enjoy a flight, but to our surprise, a young woman, about 30 years old, came over and told us she couldn’t serve us because she doesn’t get paid overtime.

This was especially baffling because it was still 15 minutes before closing, and other patrons around us were still being served by another staff member without issue. It made no sense that we were turned away when others were clearly being helped. Instead of offering any flexibility or accommodation, we were told we could go inside to buy a full bottle of wine but couldn’t order a simple flight. The inconsistency in service and the dismissive attitude left us feeling frustrated and unwelcome. For a business with such a good reputation, this was an extremely disappointing experience.

Super friendly staff and great prices on wine tasting. I bought a repurposed wine bottle candle, and the lady in the shop even brought out all the stock for me to choose from. Really appreciated the extra effort!

We arrived at Sperling Vineyards around 4 pm for our Harvest Host stay. We were immediately greeted by Indica who guided us to our spot for the night. We then went in for one of the best wine tastings we have had. Indica was so knowledgeable and she was a joy to spend time with. The wines are unique and delicious. Make sure to stop in if you are in the area. If you have children it’s a perfect winery to visit as they have an adorable playground for the kids.

We have been to the wine shop and the lady was super friendly! Explained everything about the different wines and offered us some tasting. Beautiful and welcoming place 🙂
