I recently had the pleasure of visiting Spirit Hills Flower Winery for a tour, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The tour began with a brief history of the winery, which was both informative and engaging.

The highlight of the tour was undoubtedly the vineyard walk. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable. We learned about the different wild flower varieties grown on the estate and the meticulous care that goes into producing their wines.

Next, we visited the production area, where we saw the winemaking process up close. It was fascinating to see the journey from a flower to a bottle. The attention to detail and commitment to quality were evident at every step.

The tasting session was the perfect conclusion to the tour. We sampled a variety of wines. Spirit Hills Flower Winery's wines are truly exceptional, with each sip revealing complex flavors and aromas. My personal favorite was the Dande, which had a perfect balance of fruitiness and acidity.

Overall, the tour at Spirit Hills Flower Winery was a wonderful experience. Whether you’re a wine enthusiast or just looking for a relaxing day out, I highly recommend it. The beautiful scenery, friendly staff, and outstanding wines make it a must-visit destination.

Location: it's hardly an hours drive from Calgary. Very well connected to all the highways.

The scenic views and relaxing ambiance make it a perfect spot to unwind.

So glad we saw the sign and did a U turn to find this GEM! We did the tasting and ended up bringing home 6 bottles! Everything was amazing. They also told us about another local gem, Fahr Brewery! Thanks for the recommendation! You will love the views from this Winery and the Honey Wines that that make!

What a great find in Millarville! This family run vineyard makes award winning wines from the fermented nectar of flowers growing in the foothills of the Rockies. And my goodness, what a unique and wonderful tasting tour! So hard to explain the flavours so you need to try them yourself but we were so impressed with the variety of wines (and port) produced there. Hugo and his lovely family were so knowledgeable and obviously care a lot about their product - and it shows! Fascinating production process, outstanding wines, overall a great place to visit!

We did a wine tasting tour, my first for our local producers. Nicely educational, very classy, staff were friendly and helpful. I am not a wine person, but I thought the offerings were interesting. The other 3 in our party however loved the nice variety of products so we left with 12 bottles.

Did an impromptu tour and tasting here. The tour was very informative and the wine was fantastic although the portions were very inconsistent amongst the tourists. The only problem I had was I ordered the charcuterie and it came in a small box for $25. Definitely not worth the $25. I encourage anyone to go do the tasting and the tour, it was great, just don’t get the charcuterie!

Our visit to Spirit Hills Flower Winery on November 9th, 2024, was truly unforgettable! About halfway through our tour, our wonderful host affectionately called us her “star pupils” as we eagerly soaked up everything she had to teach us about their unique, locally crafted wines. Each wine was a masterpiece, reflecting the winery’s incredible dedication to quality and innovation.

The weather was perfect, and we wrapped up our tour by enjoying a bottle with friends on their beautiful patio. It was the ideal setting to take in the flavors and atmosphere of this hidden gem. Spirit Hills is a must-visit for wine lovers looking for a distinctive experience!

Excellent tour with lots of information on wine making! Imagine using flowers, bees, and yeast to create wonderful flavors of wine! Knowledgable host in a great atmosphere at the top of a hill! Close to Millarville, this was a great way to spend an hour. Worth the time and drive to get there if you are looking for a unique take on wine.
