Love the store and the owner- Carole. She has a zest for promoting talented artists and has some really unique products. It is a delight talking to her as well as exploring the shop. I love the fact that there's something to suit everyone's tastes as the collection is indeed versatile. Highly recommend stopping by this place if you visit Bowen Island!

Super cool and unique shop!! The owner was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Was really impressed with the quality of the products and the stories behind their brands. It also smelled amazing in there lol which I appreciated, the whole vibe was totally what I expected when venturing from the mainland to Bowen Island. Definitely will stop by anytime we visit.

Randomly dropped into this store yesterday while exploring on a day trip to Bowen Island with my daughter . What a delight it was . A very warm and genuine greeting from Caro . Took the time to explain all about the clothing , artwork and more that we looked at . Lovely and witty chat and the info about the local scene was a bonus . My daughter was thrilled with her purchases . Highly recommend . Next time we visit , which hopefully be soon , I'm sure my daughter will be heading straight to Squirrel !! Five stars are inadequate !

A fantastic store on Bowen Island & super place to find gifts - unique art work, beautiful jewelry, clothing, sunglasses, trinkets, so many gift ideas and a truly wonderful, friendly owner. Highly recommend a visit when on the island.

I cant even describe how amazing the owner of the shop was. Not only is the shop a must visit for some beautiful local clothing, jewlery and much else but she makes you feel like you are family. She stepped above and beyond and treated me amazing. Thank you for "being a nice person for no reason" 😀

Squirrel is a must-visit when you are on Bowen. On a family trip here a few months ago, we stopped in to browse and came out so happy with altruistic and ethically-minded/sourced gifts (some of which I bought for Christmas presents) in addition to a great interaction with the store’s eponymous owner, Squirrel - delightful!!
