We booked our RV space months ago and received a friendly text reminder 2 days before. Check in was easy. We had a back in site. It is a big lot behind the store and restaurant. Not fancy but not the nightmare people are posting 1 star reviews. The bathrooms are great- very clean. They have a set of washers and dryers in both the men and women's bathrooms. Plus a huge laundry room by the restaurant. We enjoyed a good breakfast in the morning - burrito and 2 egg omelet. It was also convenient to have a gas station and small grocery store here as well. Perfect for a 1 night stay to be able to keep trailer hooked up to truck. And right across the street from the Sign Post Forest.

The store and facilities were clean and the store staff were super nice and helpful. The deli part was extremely slow and he overcharged me then argued about the price that was displayed. It’s decent food just have to keep an eye on the till when paying.

Stayed in the RV site for our time in Watson Lake in mid September.
Washrooms were very clean and $1 shower was good temperature & about 5 min long. Laundry available in washrooms as well as in main building.
Food was great and service was good.
Will come again!

*Review of the convenience store Tags :*

We stopped by after a long drive from Liard Hot Springs, exhausted and dehydrated. Unfortunately, the food options were not only expired but also potentially hazardous. I picked a salad that was six weeks past its expiration date (photo attached), and there were many other expired items on the shelves. The staff seemed completely unbothered when I brought it to their attention. Given our condition, we were already vulnerable to food poisoning, and this experience was alarming. I ended up warning other customers to double-check expiration dates, and several noticed the issue too. Definitely not recommended.

This review is for the Watson Lake RV Park because you can't leave a review under that name, just under the Tags. So here it is.
The 1 star is only because yes, there is sewar, water and electrical, but honestly, in every other way, this is literally the worst RV park ever. $55 a night for full hook ups seems like a great deal...until you realize it's located in the back of a gas station / convenience store in what I think used to be a semi truck sleeping / truck stop. It's so uncampground like we had trouble finding it, the GPS said it was right there, but we were in disbelief. It looks like a storage lot. The pictures do show the convenience store but I thought it was an amenity, not the campground itself, so not realizing this is on me. However, the sites are so small there's only 6' in between us and the trailer next to us, we wouldn't even be able to put out our awning if we wanted to (not that I want to sit out in this travel parking lot). It's so congested they don't even have fire pits. What a money racket. The only good thing about this place is it's proximity to the sign post forest. What a joke. I'm so disappointed. Just because you get a ton of tourists doesn't mean you shouldn't offer them good value for their money, this place shouldn't be more than $30 a night, but if it didn't exist would be even better. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Purchased $5 potable water for RV. Water same faucet as for dump station down low obviously probably containamated with sewage spray!! Must be illegal. Obviously I didn’t use it. Guy wouldn’t refund money to my teen who paid so I had to go in. They were horrid. I calmly explained rationale of cross contamination. He was pissed and ranting and yelling! Oh plus no Milk or Propane!! BTW just had purchased $253 fuel and they knew it. CC machine at pump broken

Extremely rude staff! If you’re hungry, go to the bistro inside the community center behind this place and across the street.

If you do decide to get service here, I would be in and out. ***FYI, bring your own bags If you plan on getting groceries!

I have been to this place about three times on my way to Alaska and back from Alaska. I’ve never really had any problems. The staff was never friendly, but never this rude.

The food isn’t too shabby. I did enjoy their omelette.

This time I wanted to use their laundry facility I went to the front desk to exchange my US coins for Canadian coins.

I had no problems with the guy upfront. He took my US coins and gave me Canadian coins for the washer and dryer.

I decided to go back up there and get two more Canadian dollars for another load. This time I got the Asian/Native American lady not sure if she’s the owner or not but when I handed her my coins, she started counting them and asked me was the money old!? I said it’s from the US. I’m not sure if it’s old or not. It should have the date on it.

She handed me the money back and says she could not accept it and just gave me two Canadian dollars to use the washer. She said I will pay for it but I can’t take your money!!!?!

I ask her did she think it was fake? She said no, but she couldn’t accept it.

Overall, she was rude and unprofessional. I could have given her a $20 bill but why break a $20 bill when you can use coins!

The guy was willing to take my money, but for some reason she wasn’t.

This definitely will be my last stop here! Not that it matters I really don’t think she wanted my money anyway, but it is what it is.

As far as the store goes, it’s pretty clean. The washer and dryer area is clean. The washers were OK. The dryers did take a little longer than expected.

Ps. They do not plow and if they do, they don’t do it enough to where you’re not stepping in mud and water when there’s snow melts. So you will be dragging mud and water inside your vehicle.

The food options are mediocre. They have sandwiches, chicken, omelettes, pancakes definitely overpriced.

They have a bistro across the street in walking distance. If I were you, I would visit the community center for a better experience. The only thing the community center does not have is washer and dryer, but they do have a shower and a workout facility.

Superb breakfast. Not a muffin amd bad coffee, but french toast, omelet, and hash browns. Exactly what you need when hitting the road.
