We embarked on a deck project in mid-summer 2023 to replace and stabilize our existing second-level deck while also extending it to a spacious 24' x 17' area. This was a complex task, blending old substructure with new decking and aiming to minimize underlying structural supports for an under-deck patio.

After researching several companies, we chose Terra Vista primarily due to their competitive bidding. Trevor deHaan led our project from day one, serving as our contact and project manager. He handled everything from design and permits to coordinating demolition, foundation work, and carpentry. Trevor effortlessly accommodated our change requests, ensuring a smooth process throughout.

The foundation teams and carpenters assigned to our project were not only highly skilled but also incredibly friendly. Their expertise was evident in every aspect of their work, and they were a pleasure to have on-site.

To address our unique need to reduce under-deck structure, they ingeniously utilized steel plates sandwiched between beam boards.

The project started on time, and consistent communication from the teams kept us well-informed at every step. We couldn't be happier with the outcome – our new deck is exceptionally sturdy and far exceeds our expectations.

Terra Vista has completed several projects at our property with amazing results. The shoreline needed attention and all the decking facing the lake required a complete replacement. Trevor D and his team reimagined this area with an armour stone retaining wall with access steps to the lake, a sunken fire pit and a large patio stone deck. I appreciate the view of the yard and lake from the inside of the house each time I look out! We engaged Terra Vista again when we added a sport court. They prepared the site, poured the concrete pad and landscaped the grade around the court. Again, Trevor and team did an outstanding job of managing the project. Their work was professional, friendly and completed in a timely manner and they were responsive to questions and adjustments to plan as we went along. We have recently engaged them to provide lawn maintenance services.

They made all kinds of promises and broke so many. The patio is uneven and pools water. An end patio stone cracked off, they fixed it, within days it again cracked off. They did not bother to put dirt under it, the reason it broke in the first place. They cemented the outer patio stones. Its not neat or hidden. They installed the doors and knob and hardware wrong on the shed. They butchered the trim and had no idea how to install a doorknob and strike plate. I had to fight to have it done right. They were supposed to remove the old gardens and plants, install peastones, fabric new soil and mulch. All they did was pull out the obvious large bushes throw on a bit of dirt then a small layer of mulch. Most of the old flowers and plants are still there. They did not put down stone or fabric, I had to prove it to them they gave me a very small refund. The gardens were all supposed to be annuals, 16 plants they planted, did not come back the next season. The driveway they left me was topped with crushed limestone, told them it was horrible and i was not happy, said it would be better once they rolled it. They never rolled it. They were to remove the old garden ornaments and an old dog house, they did not. They left them strew across the lawn. They also left cigarette butt's and garbage. They stole a brass hose fitting and one of my short hoses that was still attached to it, as well as a garden spade. It has taken me a few years to write this as I always got so upset thinking about it. It cost me $110,000. I should have taken them to court, but my mental health and well being is more important than dealing with an unprofessional scamming business. Funny the minute I mention their name every one's reaction is ohhhhhhh. When confronted with your concerns they are condescending and rude and deny deny deny. DO NOT HIRE THEM if you are a private citizen and not a business.

Last October I went directly to their location in Picton to see and then order their "Triple Mix Soil" The girl in the office, I believe her name is Casey took to the yard and I was very pleased with the quality, sod I ordered 3 yards of it. It was delivered and I hired someone to top dress my lawn in Wellington. I put down grass seed. I was expecting to see a beautiful lawn this spring, but the soil they delivered was no where close to being "Triple Mix" after the rain and snow of the winter and spring had packed it down. It is full of stone and very little grass came up. To top it off, it was full of Mustard Plant, a very invasive weed. I ow have to spend $3,000 to have it all taken off and new sod laid. My advice would be to go and check out what you are getting, bit that didn't work for me, so now I will just say, "Stay away from this place" I called them twice and left messages, I even went back there, but there was no one there with any authority. I called again and still no response.
