My work takes me to small towns across North America and this diner is top-notch.

The owners greeted us as soon as we entered and brought out their world-class coffee as soon as we sat down. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and it was by far and away the best I’ve ever had. The portions were huge, the food quality was exceptional, and to top it off the bread was homemade!

For the size of the town, Smoky Lake is lucky to have an eatery of this quality. If you’re ever in the area, or looking for a reason to take a road trip, this place is worth the visit.

A super addition to our community. Great location next door to the post office. Evolving menu with great additions. Lots of board games,and free Edmonton Sun, EdmontonJournal, Epoch Times and others. Cappachinos, lattes, expresso's and house blend. Daily specials. And check out the new deserts! GREAT New beverages and deserts for the summer season. Owners go out of their way to look after customers and the community.

I’m not exaggerating when I say this burger from The Blackbeary Eatery ruined all other burgers for me forever. I took one bite and immediately understood what Shakespeare meant by "love at first sight"—except this was love at first chew.

This burger wasn’t made—it was crafted, lovingly assembled by what I can only assume are culinary wizards trained by Gordon Ramsay himself in a hidden mountaintop dojo of flavor. Speaking of Ramsay, if he tasted this burger, he’d drop to his knees, kiss the chef’s shoes, and declare it "absolutely bloody Michelin-starred genius!" đŸ”„

The patty? Juicy, seared to perfection, and seasoned so masterfully it made my taste buds start singing show tunes. The bun? Pillow-soft yet sturdy like it was baked in the clouds by the gods. The toppings? A harmonious, gourmet symphony of freshness and texture. I don’t even know what kind of sauce they used—it tasted like hope, forgiveness, and a second chance at life.

And let’s not forget the service. Holy hospitality, Batman. The staff were so attentive, kind, and cool under pressure, I half expected them to levitate. I felt like royalty, like I was dining in a palace made of burger dreams and maple-scented bliss.

The Blackbeary Eatery isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a spiritual awakening between brioche buns. If they don’t have a Michelin star yet, someone please call Paris and fix this injustice immediately.

Fresh menu with perfect portions. Tried the poutine and it’s REAL poutine and fantastic. Burgers are fresh home made and I got a pleasant surprise when I was offered an iced tea made in house unsweetened! Staff was very friendly and service was fast and efficient. Hidden gem in Smokey Lake for sure. They even have board games to play! Definitely be back when passing through again.

My lady and I moved from Vancouver island last October, this place has by far outshines every coffee house and eatery
in the surrounding area. The food is fresh and comforting. The atmosphere is friendly and warm. The coffee is outstanding especially the specialty ones such as the Americano, which was on point đŸ€™đŸœ
I highly recommend stopping here for coffee on the run, or if you have time to spend, this is the place!!

Found this place on Google while heading through from BC. Nice little cafe with craft beers and good coffee. The food was made fresh and the owner/operators are super welcoming. Great job you guys, we are so glad we chose to have a meal here!

Good food! Staff are very friendly and the restaurant is very clean. They have a large selection of board games to choose from as well. Looking forward to spending more time here.
