We recently had our wedding at Farm at South Cove, and this venue is nothing short of magical. The waterfront views, peaceful surroundings, and charming barn gave us the perfect mix of rustic and coastal. It created such a warm, relaxed atmosphere that felt exactly right for our day.
The staff were so kind and accommodating—they went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Sally, the venue coordinator, was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. She was always available to answer questions, kept everything organized, and made sure the day went off without a hitch. We truly felt taken care of and were able to just enjoy the moment.
It honestly felt like a dream. We can’t recommend this venue enough, especially for a wedding—everything about it was amazing, and we had the best time!

We got married at the Farm last weekend and had the most perfect experience. We are incredibly grateful to the staff (especially Sally) for all of their help throughout the planning process and on the big day. They were extremely easy to work with and lots of fun to be around!

The venue and accommodations are absolutely stunning and our guests were amazed by it all! The Common House was great for us to host a rehearsal dinner with around 40 family and friends! We had family visiting from overseas and it was perfect to be able to host lots of them on site in the Farmhouse, as well as have our entire bridal party up in the Bunkies. Everyone had a good sleep despite the heavy rain!

Our wedding day had moments of rain, but the team was ready to jump into action at any point to transition however necessary. We both felt at ease with having them around on the day. Having Sally as a Day-of-Coordinator was extremely helpful, as we did not have a professional wedding planner.

We also used the Farm's bartending services and Kate was awesome. We didn't need to worry about a thing and she was super helpful with planning for the bar. Incredibly good price for her services too!!

Sally, Leslee, and their team were very clear with what the venue offered and what we would need to provide. Our caterer needed a specific outlet and they helped us figure out all of the logistics there. They were extremely kind and gave us many lovely comments over the weekend. We hope to be back at the Farm or the Lofts again soon xo

We spent a wonderfully relaxing weekend at the Waterfront Lofts at South Cove. It is an incredibly peaceful spot where we were able to completely unwind. The loft had everything we needed and the view from the front deck is gorgeous. We especially enjoyed the private hot tub and even had a friendly, local cat drop by to visit! It is only a 5-10 minute drive to the heart of Lunenburg which has lots of great shopping and restaurant options. We highly recommend Hello Beautiful for women's clothing and the Beach Pea Kitchen & Bar for delicious food.

The Farm at South Cove was the perfect setting for our wedding—absolutely stunning and filled with so much heart. The natural beauty of the property speaks for itself, with breathtaking views, charming details, and a peaceful atmosphere that made our day feel truly special.

The accommodations on-site are beautiful—thoughtfully designed and incredibly comfortable. While they are on the expensive side, they truly add to the overall experience and were well worth it for such an important occasion.

What really made the experience unforgettable was the team. The staff were an absolute pleasure to work with. Kate, Lars, and Sally are hands down some of the best people in the industry. They were warm, attentive, and made us feel like family from the very beginning. Their care, flexibility, and support throughout the planning process meant everything to us.

If you're looking for a venue that’s both elegant and grounded in the beauty of Nova Scotia—with a team that goes above and beyond—The Farm at South Cove is it. We’re so grateful to have celebrated our day in such a magical place.

Genuinely enjoy photographing weddings in this space. Great staff, laid back and adaptable environment. Accommodations on site are excellent and enjoyable. Living nearby is a bonus too. If you're looking for a farm-style venue on the south shore ... you've found it!

My husband and I searched for a venue with.. an area to get married + an area to stay so my bridal party and I could get ready + a venue that allowed us to get in early so we could decorate + closer to Halifax. The Farm at South Cove checked everything off and more!
Greg & Jill were fantastic to work with. Communication lacked a bit at times, but I remembered she's probably dealing with 4-5 clients a week and once the weekend came for our Wedding, I could text her with any questions and any issues were solved.
They just installed hot tubs which was a nice surprise! And were put to use.
This was the perfect venue for us and I can't recommend it enough.

My partner Jill and I recently got married at the Farm at South Cove on the Labour Day long weekend (Saturday 2024-08-31). I can’t say enough good things about both the venue and the staff.

The venue itself was absolutely stunning. The Farm’s landscaping team do an incredible job, from the lawn where the ceremony is held, the lavender fields, hydrangeas, and so on. The barn provides a very unique experience where it can comfortably sit up to 150 but maintains that sentimental atmosphere of a smaller wedding venue setting.

As for the staff of the farm, they are very organized for the day of and always responded promptly to any requests or questions. I’d highly recommend.

Although we would’ve liked to access the venue for set up (i.e., the bar) earlier on the Friday, I do understand the amount of work it takes to prep the venue site for the next party coming in. They did still provide some flexibility where they could.

Sally and Leslee specifically were awesome to work with. Highly recommend.

Attended a wedding and the venue is beautiful and was set up very well. The communication from the venue was horrible due to constant pestering of attendees to pay for their bunks when they had already been paid. Was also given wrong invoice at first and took days to get it changed to the proper price. Prices were very high for what we got, would have had a much better sleep and accommodations at 1/2 price at any local hotel/BnB.
