We had driven past this place for months and finally decided to try it out for a birthday dinner. Booking a table was easy and super friendly—they even invited us to bring our own cake, which was a nice touch!

When we arrived, everything was ready. Waters were poured, and orders were taken quickly. The staff were great—very attentive and kept our drinks topped up throughout the meal. I really appreciate free refills on soft drinks, and while the server mentioned they’re supposed to charge, that didn’t seem to be enforced, which was great. I will always dock 2 stars off for no free refills.

The food was fresh, flavourful, and came out fast. Everyone at our table was happy with their meals. My only complaint is the portion size of the pasta—it was a bit small. I had a soup and a pasta dish and still left a little hungry. Hopefully that’s something they can adjust in the future and reason I won’t give full 5 stars.

Overall, it was a great experience, and we’ll definitely consider coming back!

We have been several times. The staff is very friendly and they want to please. The food is general good, although there have been a few disappointments but never anything bad enough to keep us from going back. Pizzas are good, well presented. I have found that sometimes the beef in the burgers is a bit dry. Also there fries are usually quite good but once they were disappointing.
Service is getting better. If go at noon when they are just opening up, you food may be a bit slow while the kitchen gets rolling. On thing that bothers me that they can do nothing about is the noise on the patio caused by the traffic on the street/

We had an excellent meal at The Foundry! The food was excellent and dispite the restaurant having every table taken, our food came out quickly. We had a hot dip as an app and had chicken & pasta and the fish and shrimp special with a side alpine salad...which was fantastic! I will get the salad next time for sure. Our waitress, Belle, was the icing on the cake! She is the best.

Waited over half hour, not busy at all. Ordered well done burger and got a half burger. Manager took 10 minutes to come out and said if I didn’t order it well done and allowed them to “cook it properly “ it would have been fine. Said it was my fault for ordering it well done. Didn’t offer any apologies or offer anything else. Then only took 15% off bill when I didn’t touch the burger, and AGAIN stated “you only get a 15% discount because you ordered the burger like that, it wasn’t our fault”. Never ever going back! The worst customer service I’ve ever had! 🤬🤬🤬

My partner and I ordered takeout. We both got fettuccine Alfredo and I opened the box and this is what it had in it. There was very very little pasta. First time trying this place, very disappointed. It’s tastes great but our 2 pasta together cost $38 and the take out container wasn’t close to half full.

Would highly recommend The Foundry's private event space. We booked the space for our staff get together. They have an excellent catering menu that we were able to tailor to our group and they set the space up beautifully to accommodate us!. We chose buffet style and the food was delightful. We can't say thanks enough to Chef Rick, Nancy and our server Mac!

First time for dinner last night and we enjoyed ourselves. The steak was nicely seasoned and very tender. The pork may have been a tiny bit bland, but nothing a bit of salt and pepper did fix.
Server was friendly and polite, checked back with is a couple times through the meal.
Very enjoyable and we plan to be back.

Had the pleasure of visiting the newest addition to Durham. For apps we ordered the Honey Garlic - Monster Roaster Wings & Signature Egg Rolls… the wings were cooked perfectly! Our main entrees we chose the Harvest Moon Medley (a bit spicy) and Hunter Style Chicken (chicken was not dry & the ragu was amazing). Thing to note.. everything tasted as if it was freshly made and not processed! Great job chef!! And for dessert we ordered both the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Pie (decadent) and the Molten Sticky Toffee Pudding (I’ll be ordering this again). Overall, we will definitely be coming back. The staff was amazing & the place looks great... a special shout out to our waitress, Kentaya, who was super friendly and made sure we were well taken care of despite how busy it got.
