I had recently took a one-on-one chocolate making class with Mara and it was an amazing experience. It was a perfect session for a beginner like me with hands on chocolate tempering and making bonbons filled with ganache.
Mara is very passionate and creative with her chocolate making using high quality ingredients and professional tools.The best part was decorating bonbons and she explained all the variations very well.I would highly recommend her class if you have love for chocolates

I enjoyed working with Mara, the owner of The Good Chocolatier. She was super responsive, helpful and accommodating with my various requests to brand boxes of bon bons for my clients event. I had a lovely time with Mara in a chocolate workshop afternoon. We had a lovely small group, which allowed us to have a very intimate and knowledgable session.

The chocolate on offer was delicious and I had a wonderful time in the practical portion of the visit, where I was given enough tempered chocolate to create 4-ish bars of chocolate (with various toppings of my choosing.)

My only note about the experience is, sadly, something that is most likely out of Mara’s control; the location. 312 on Main is a lovely building, but is definitely in a less pleasant part of the city. Something to be wary of if you’re bringing your kids.

That being said, in addition to the workshop, we were also given the chance to purchase additional bars at a reduced price as a thank-you from Mara, which was a lovely bonus. We also received an additional discount via an email the following day.

There’s a lot of good to be had here, from the tastes to the ethics; I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning more about chocolate making!

Fantastic workshop making chocolate with Mara. I was blown away by the difference between her quality chocolate and other chocolate I’ve eaten. The 95% chocolate was amazing. Really enjoyed sampling all the chocolate she makes and experiencing the complex flavours.

We had a great time at Mara’s chocolate class! She was clearly passionate and very knowledgeable about the chocolate and we were able to taste test so many chocolates in addition to making our own. I would highly recommend taking this class- she also told us that she hires many individuals on the spectrum as her employees which I think is so great.

I ordered the Ceremony Cacao and tried it for the first time today. I began my day in Ceremony, connecting with the spirit of Cacao, connecting with the land and earth in Peru, and I really enjoyed the experience.
My heart is open and at peace. My mind is calm and clear. I feel wrapped up in love!

Workshop is led by a passionate young entrepreneur. It is well organized with a section about education about chocolate. We tried different types of beans, nibs, as well as different chocolate types. Mara is passionate and wants to share her knowledge so we can all understand the benefits of chocolate, support the farmers (Fair trade) and take care of our health (as little processed ingredients as possible). The second part of the workshop is hands on with pouring and decorating chocolate bars. Time to learn how to temper chocolate.
