Lovely community cafe in a cute town. I thought the beat root latte was the most unique. Had the orange almond cake which was not dry and good texture!

Sad I couldn’t take out the sugar. Forgot to ask them to switch to oat milk but still good! I did get to try the warm version and the cold version. I asked for it to be shaken on ice but remove the ice!

Gumboot Café is my go-to breakfast spot whenever I’m in Gibsons—cozy, local, and full of charm. The vibe is laid-back with its rustic interior, community art, and a peaceful garden patio that makes you want to stay a little longer. Their coffee is surprisingly rich and smooth, and the baked goods are irresistible (try the date square or peanut butter ball if you have room!). But my ultimate favourite is the Buddha Benny—a delicious vegetarian twist on eggs benny with perfectly poached eggs on a beet cake patty, topped with a miso-tahini sauce and pickled cabbage. Every bite bursts with flavour, and it feels hearty, healthy, and satisfying. Whether I’m grabbing breakfast to go or relaxing with my cousin and aunties, this place never disappoints.

Christie and I stopped by the Gumboot Café in Roberts Creek and immediately felt like locals. This place exudes charm — funky, artsy, and filled with good energy. The coffee? Perfect. The food? Farm-to-fork delicious. We found a cozy corner, sipped, snacked, and soaked in the laid-back coastal vibe. If you’re in the area, this spot is a must-visit. A total heart (and belly) warmer!

Such a cute place, there're flowers at every corner. There are inside and outside tables. It's very busy when I was there but the parking was available. I forgot to take a photo of the drinks, but my spiced apple cider was very yummy (especially in a rainy morning). However, their matcha latte and mocha are not very good.

The 'Thai tomato noodle' was awful.. This very small bowl of soup(it should be named as soup, not noodle) was $8. I expected long noodles, but it was very little amount of chopped crappy noodle with crappy vegetable. It would be worth $4-5.. The atmosphere and service was nice.
