Izabela is lively and knowledgeable. Our first visit to the shop was for her "love your plants" workshop. We learned about watering, pest control, potting, and more, all for $40 per person (with snacks, beverages, and tax free private shopping, followed by 2 hours of education.) If she offers the workshop again, we definitely recommend you attend. She has a variety of hand-picked tropical plants that she properly attends to, unlike big box stores that saturate all their tropical plants and leave them outside to die. She also offers a beautiful variety of artisan products for decor and housewares and unique pots you definitely won't find anywhere else. As a fellow Langley small business owner, I see that her prices match her commitment to selecting the best plants, caring for them properly, and the education she is willing to offer you when you buy. She is also extremely accessible on social media. Thank you, Izabela, for this beautiful space for plant parents!

It has taken me a while to do this review and it is because I am torn. We went for a Mother’s Day workshop and we’re extremely disappointed. There were 4 or 5 different projects that we were to put together and not one of them was ever complete. The owner was very kind and personable yet it seemed that she had set her sights higher than reality allowed.
We were told that we would be using 3D printed vases but received glass ones from Dollarama. The wreaths were extremely under full and each person at the workshop was asking for more greenery, the frames were very visible. Our floral arrangements were chintzy at best and the dried arrangements were nothing significant…again with the Dollarama vases.
I say I am torn because Isabella was pleasant and welcoming but the afternoon was nothing like what was described.
It seems that this workshop was over promised and under delivered. At $150.00 per person, I would not recommend further workshops at The Plant Junkie.

The owner was so very rude and unprofessional. I was guilted into spending almost $100 on this. I paid it thinking I’d return it later on and then checked my receipt and she doesn’t take any refunds or returns. I like supporting local businesses, but I would not recommend the plant junkie. Go to Home Depot or ikea for your plants, fresh st market in fleetwood also has a good selection and good prices.

Isabella, I really loved your store and what you are trying to do. But please put prices on your items so your customers aren’t blindsided at the till. I have changed my review because I appreciate your response and I did like your store.

This is one of my favourite shops ever! The vibes are so calming, it's beautiful in there, the plants and home decor are amazing and Izabela is so knowledgeable and helpful! Highly recommend for any of your plant or home decor needs!

Plant Junkie just installed my 3' diameter moss wall. What an amazing piece!!! I wanted something different on my wall and Izabela made it happen. She's the BEST.

Beautiful boutique with a very relaxing vibe but the selection isn't that diverse in-store and the prices are extremely high. ($80 for a money plant planter vs. $7-$15 at other small business nurseries in Surrey.)
