This store is great. The music is never grating, the lighting is calming, they clearly labelled all the Canadian foods, they often have unique foods you can't find elsewhere or are sold out of elsewhere. The fruit from here has been the best so far compared to other grocery stores as far as perishable items go. The big cherry blossom trees coming from the featured food tables for spring is really cute. The pre-made food is awesome, I love that they sell fish for poké and the people that work at the sushi section are very kind, charismatic and make the freshest grocery store sushi I've had, I'm a bit of a sushi snob and I almost always grab the sushi there when I shop. The aisles aren't too tight, the bulk food section is amazing. They layout feels well thought out. The lineups at the till could be a bit faster but at least they always have their self-checkout tills open if we are in a rush. It's in a good spot of town that's pretty convenient for people coming from Lake Cowichan or North of town. You can see the attention that has gone into making this store a good experience and it's appreciated.

I like the concept of the store but..when they bump up prices to reduce them that's lying and false and your produce is Grrrrooossssly over priced..like 12 for a mango amd 8 for a pomegranate is pathetic..maybe have your buyers consider not buying I'd you're just wasting money buying overpriced fruit etc

The store is clean and organized, it is accessible for wheelchair use. The staff were friendly and helpful. They actually make you feel like a valued customer and want to go back. Will definitely recommend to my friends and family.

I called from out of province (Ontario) for a gift basket for my best friend who lives in Duncan. They made a gorgeous basket and were so polite and helpful over the phone. My friend said all the foods were fresh and delicious and It was delivered promptly the day after I ordered it. Thank you so much for your help and excellent service!

I ordered a 60th birthday cake. The cake was supposed to be a gardener's theme, not a vegetable garden. I had requested different colors and kinds of flowers as long as their were purple verigated ones in it. The employee that took the order didn't write down half of what was requested. When I picked it up, I expressed my concern to the front bakery employee, who then passed me onto the decorator. The icing was supposed to be chocolate, not white. The piping around the cake, which was supposed to be purple, was green on the top and orange on the bottom. Also, the filling should have been vanilla or barvarian cream. The only comment I received from the decorator was, "Oops, my bad."
There was no conversation about redoing it or a discount for the many mistakes. The cake was also dry. I have ordered all of my cakes for all occasions from Thrifty Foods for the past 20 years, but it will be the last time.

Nice and clean grocery store in Duncan. You can get all groceries including but not limited to flowers, fresh fruits, dairy, bakery, Asian items, , etc. there are many checkout lines including self checkouts.

I did my wedding flowers through the Duncan Thrifty Foods and they were awesome!!!
I had an initial consultation with 2 follow ups before the wedding.
I was very happy with my bouquet and the flowers for the wedding party.

I have used this location for flowers in the past and they were always wondering.
This was another great experience!!
