Our highly energetic pup stayed at Toronto K9 Centre for a month to complete the obedience training program. He was well taken care of during his stay and came back a brand new dog. We are now very comfortable walking him and leaving him at home unattended. We can now enjoy living with our dog. Thank you Roger & Toronto K9 for your amazing service!❤️

Toronto K9 Center was the fourth training facility I contacted to arrange training for our young German Shepherd and they were the only one who returned my call on the same day I left the message. The other three either reached out a week or two later or not at all.

During our initial conversation he invited us to view a training session at his outdoor facility. What we saw was so impressive that we decided to go ahead with his program. So far it has been a great and positive experience. We love our time with Roger, we have learned so much from him and our dog’s behaviour has drastically improved. He doesn’t pull at all during our walks, he is well behaved when meeting dogs/people, he understands very well all the basic commands and he comes when called, which is impressive at such a young age.

In the spring we will start obedience training outdoors, we are very excited about this next step. Protection will be the last and final portion of the program.

We highly recommend Toronto K9 Center to any one seeking to have a solid relationship with their furry companion.

I decided to send my dog, Bo, to the 30 day in-kennel training program. I will also be partaking in the once-a-week 16-week group sessions.

My main concern for Bo, was that she had a large amount of excitement, constant jumping, and in ability to walk her. My dog has a good temperment to begin with. But due to her being my first dog and extremely busy work schedule her training had been neglected.

Roger (who runs the programs) took her in for 30 days. He was completely accessible by text and call. He also got my in contact with one of his trainers (who was also working closely with Bo) who gave me great pointers for Bo's doet to help with allergies.

Bo had been home for 2 days now. I can see and feel a huge shift in the way Bo behaves. She is no longer the anxious dog. She is confident and minds her excitement around people. A huge indication of this was that she showed preference to sleep downstairs in the crate versus upstairs in her usual bed (check out my photo of my smiling pup with her favourite stuffy!!)

I will note a huge highlight of dealing with Roger is constant support even after Bo's return home. I had a concern and Roger was quick to address my concern.

I feel like i finally have, not just a dog, but a companion. I cannot recommend this program more.

When my Hannah was just 3 months old I knew I would need guidance in helping her develop into the amazing companion I know she could become. While scrolling through Facebook posts, I came across Toronto K-9 Center. Further research led me to their website where I found some informative videos. As I watched these videos of the obedience classes, I knew I wanted to be a part of a group of people like these who are dedicated to understanding their four-legged friends.
I have met with Roger Richards, the owner of the Toronto K-9 Center three times and I can see already that this targeted training under his guidance is exactly what Hannah (now 6 months) and I need, as she is responding so positively. We have had a few months training in the summer and it helped guide me better in reading my dog, watch for reactions and seeing what triggers her. With this short time my dog learned all her basic commands and helped her gain confidence to start protective training. Roger has taken the time to explain 1 on 1 as to how to handle different situations. When i was unsure of my dog reacting to other dogs he explained to me why she may be doing that and what i needed to do to correct it. I have been given the right tools to continue working on my dogs commands by roger and any questions I have had he is always eager to help. We are looking forward to the spring to refresh our learning skills and move forward with the full protection training.

I highly recommend TorontoK9 Center! We brought our dog there for behavior modification and to address his dog aggression, and the results have been amazing. After just one month of training, our dog returned completely transformed—he's calm, well-behaved, and has no issues with aggression anymore. We sent our dog to Toronto K9 Centre for a month, and the results have been incredible. Before training, he was highly dog-aggressive and struggled with anxiety. Now, he’s completely calm around other dogs, and we can take him on walks without any agitation or rowdiness. He’s also fully crate-trained and gets into the car or crate without any hassle.

Roger, the trainer, was amazing throughout the entire process. He’s kind, knowledgeable, and always easy to reach. We called multiple times for updates and questions, and he was always happy to help, providing regular updates, pictures, and videos.
