I had the pleasure of visiting Uncle Brian’s, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. Brian was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful, going above and beyond to assist with my selections. His knowledge about different cuts of meat was impressive, and it made choosing exactly what I needed much easier.

Beyond the fresh meats, his selection of dried meats was a real treat. I also appreciated how fair and reasonable the pricing was across the board.

The shop had more than just meats, with a variety of knives, seasonings, and sausages, making it a one-stop shop for anyone who enjoys cooking. Overall, Uncle Brian’s is a gem, and I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended

Guaranteed fresh meat, no aging it says right on the door. Told the clerk I wanted a fresh juicy ribeye, just cut yesterday she tells me. Who looks at the label orher than the price, I wouldn't have looked at the label either if not for the funky smell when i opened the packaging. Was cut just short of a month ago and expired 2 weeks ago. This is my lesson for straying from my regular butcher. Be sure to double check the freshness of your meat when dealing with Uncle Brian.

It doesn't have nitrates, only has natural curing salts!

I Had my doe processed here, 330$ for 70lb quartered later, and I have hair covered meat. Even my sausage is full of hair inside the casings. Super unimpressed.

I expect nothing less however because the comments about how hairy my doe was but all it had left on it was the tail, a ripple and the back forearms.

Don't get your meat processed here.

Absolutely horrible sausage.
The amount of fat they have in their way over spiced sausage is overwhelming.
Tasted nothing like the samples they had at the farmers market.
0/10 would never return.

The best South African biltong in Edmonton plus fantastic boerswors, and every other cut of specialty meat that you cannot get at the regular grocery store!

Sells great variety of South African foods and also just provides great meat! His biltong is definitely the best in Edmonton (try the chutney biltong, it is so amazing). Brian himself is a really personable guy and really loves what he does. The chicken chakalaka is next level and is my favourite out of all of them. If you see it, buy it, because most times it is sold out. Great place and great guy! You can also check him at the Strathcona Farmer's Market on Saturdays!
