Our experience working with Sal and his team was exceptional from start to finish. Sal really cares about his work and bringing a client's vision to reality. Sal's remarkable creativity transformed our front yard from a concrete parking area devoid of life, to a colourful, lush and diverse landscape of native species which becomes more and more beautiful as it matures with each passing season. He designed new walkways, a gorgeous retaining wall, and completed some much needed grading along the foundation on one side of the house. He also brought our vision for a natural and unique fence, gate and arbor to life, as well as a beautiful parking area with permeable interlocking stones. We were thrilled with the finished product and will contact Sal for any future projects.

This is a few months late. So sorry Sal!
We had Sal and his crew do a large project in our yard. We are a fairly new build in Buckhorn with about an acre. Our yard had been a mud pit and with a steep slope. Sal did an amazing job. He is so creative and talented! From the beginning to the end the experience was a great one. Sal suggested pavers that are good quality, look fantastic and did not break the bank. We loved the design he suggested and we went with it. He is so talented and explains all and was always available for questions.
He actually suggested 3 different options that worked with our budget and could save us money. He put a beautiful patio in the yard and made stairs coming down our hill from the upper deck. He also levelled the other side of the yard as best he could with the slope we had, top soiled and used a great seed that was ecologically friendly that grows in sun and shade.
They worked so hard and in the timeline he stated.
He even followed up with us.
We honestly cannot express how happy we are. Our yard is beautiful.
When we were looking for a landscaper( we had never done this before) I was randomly calling people and he was the only person that answered. . We feel so lucky he answered. Just on the phone we liked him and then he came out to see us.
Despite all the positive things I have said about the project I can also say he is a wonderful, kind and hardworking person.
We highly recommend him.

Sal and his team were amazing to work with. Sal saw my vision for the yard from the beginning and got drawings to me very quickly. When it was time for work to start, he was communicative and on-site daily. We started with boxwoods and fake grass and ended with a patio space, welded retaining walls, native plants and trees and a French drain to address pooling issues we were having. We really couldn't be happier with our new space.

So for my own first experience with landscaping, it was really reassuring to work with him. And with my total lack of aesthetic sense, I was anxious about having to design a new walkway (shared and required by knowledgeable neighbours) and a new front retaining wall (to replace rotting railway ties).

Though I had gotten overwhelmed by choices, Sal provided me with a nice assortment of different options, and my neighbour and I narrowed them down.

And though Sal is unsurprisingly in demand, he was responsive to emails and showed up and did the job when he said he would. Though I had no idea how expensive landscaping could be, I'm so happy with the results, and look happily at my front garden and shared path every day.

Thank you, Sal! I hope I can lure you back to Toronto when it's time to deal with the back garden! 🙂

I am so happy I found Sal and his company to design my patio. Other companies didn’t return my call and Sal returned my call same day. He offered to come out next day to give me a consultation and he fit me in to his busy schedule and before I knew it the job was done on time. He got back to me about all my questions, he was professional and created a beautiful patio that I was able to enjoy before the summer was over. I will be using Sal for other projects. Also my neighbour was so impressed that they asked Sal to do a patio for them too!

Under the Sun built us a gorgeous cedar 6' fence and modern pergola. Our backyard presented plenty of challenges (big rocks, roots, and trees in the way) but Sal and his staff tackled them all with creativity and persistence. Sal put in the extra effort to order locally milled cedar, communicated well about costs and offered us choices along the way. It was a very good experience and we are happy with the result.

Sal was a joy to work with. I started Phase 1 of our project in Fall of 2023 and we are moving into Phase 2 this Spring of 2024. The front of my home - driveway and front garden are stunning but also structurally sound, sloped correctly for drainage and the materials Sal help me select although modern complement my 150 year home. He was dependable, honest and meticulous in his workmanship. I am the 3rd client in the neighborhood and we are all delighted with our results.

Working with Sal and his crew was the best experience with any tradespeople we dealt with over the 2-year build of our home. Landscaping is the finishing touch to any renovation/build project and Sal was thoughtful about his design suggestions, material selections, and making any modifications we asked for throughout the project. He helped us to break our large project into 2 parts to complete over the course of a year so that we could afford all the work - rather than having to do it all in one go. Sal is professional, detailed, responsive, reliable, and stuck to his quotes 100% (outside of the changes I requested). When we did ask for a change he would tell us of the cost implications right away before starting the work to make sure we were comfortable to move forward.
Having Sal and his crew around the house was a pleasure and we would use him for any and all of our future landscaping and landscape design needs. I never write public reviews but Sal certainly deserves one and you won't be disappointed if you hire him. Best in class.
