Can get busy on weekends.
Beautiful scenery with easily accessible walking path shared by dog walkers, bikes and pedestrians. There’s play areas for kids and a new skate board course

Vedder River is a great spot to walk your dog, with scenic trails, open spaces, and plenty of nature to explore. The calm river and peaceful paths make it perfect for both easy strolls and longer adventures. Your pup will love it!

There’s a playground, a little library, a trail to walk along the river, there’s a food truck. And you can go to the river too.

Nice park along Chilliwack river just a couple hundred meters from Vedder road. These park is almost complete of any recreational aspect you , your friends, or the whole family wants on your day-out. Lots of washrooms along a walking trail, and the main washroom in the playground is clean and well maintained. I visited here during the closing days of fall season and the spectacular sceneries of colored leaves all around makes my day worthy.

2024 Chilliwack Rib Festival
Loved the free samples of beef brisket and pulled pork from various competitors. This allows me to choose where to buy my ribs for.
In the end I ended buying from Hog Boss, their $45 for 3 types of meat and we paid $2 extra for their number 1 award winning Mac n’ cheese.

The Vedder River trail is Chilliwack's top gem. In any weather, you can enjoy! The whole loop is 20 km, which is great to bike. Or you can choose a shorter walk at any of the many parking spots along the trail. Plenty of runners, bikers and fishers out at all times of the year.
There are dog parks, playgrounds and toilets available all along the trail.
You might see eagles, herons, salmon, snakes, squirrels, rabbits, and even horses!
Please remember to leash your pets on the trail and be mindful of other nature loving humans!
