EDIT: WOW what amazing customer service. Beth really reached out and helped work to make it right. Usually stores just don't care when something bad happens once it's in the customer's hands. So this was genuinely surprising and very pleasant. I look forward to visiting and purchasing from VI plant shop in the future knowing that I will get this kind of support. 5/5 for knowledgeable and friendly staff too. I found some time and purchased the cutest baby monstera Thai constellation instead and after a week I can definitely say he is thriving! Absolutely adore him. I only regret not buying his brother haha. He's now sitting inside his little quarantine greenhouse while I acclimate him to my house

I spent $63 for root rot and sadness. I came in a couple weeks ago and purchased a philodendron Pink Princess. I was really excited. I've had this plant on my mind for awhile. Got to the front and asked how long to wait before repotting. What care was like for this plant. I paid a large sum of money (which I get, it's a special hybrid plant). I was told to give the plant 1-3 weeks to get settled. But the soil was still wet after several days and mind you, I hadn't even watered the plant yet.
And then I saw his leaves were yellowing so I gave in and repotted him after a week. And oh my god the roots were so mushy and were falling off the plant. I tried to rescue as many as I could and hydrogen peroxide the rest of the plant. But it was disgusting. I'm really heartbroken to have spent so much for a sick plant 🙁
Lesson learned I guess. Below pictures the plant when I first got it, the yellowing leaf, the mushy roots that fell off as I was separating the soil from the plant and my rescue attempt

My absolute favorite local plant shop! They get so many new plants in stock through out the year. And if you keep your eye out, you can find some really unusual and unique plants in their shop to add to your home.
I am so happy with their personable and friendly customer service. Everyone there is so nice and helpful. And all of my purchases and deliveries from them have been wonderful experiences.
I 100% recommend this plant shop to people when ever I can. I think that the only problem I have is that it's so hard to pick and choose my next plant sometimes, as I love so many of their offerings.

Beginner or advanced plant parent, they’ve got you covered! Highly knowledgeable, very friendly! Great prices. The shop is stunning. A plant oasis. Jungle vibes on point. The monthly subscription boxes are a super cool touch to this ever-growing local business!

They have carnivorous plants!! They're super friendly and helpful and have a decent selection. They have lots of recycled plant pots made out of plant material, and a section with pet-friendly plants. They also have soil mix's and stickers and cards. Love this store.

This is the best plant shop. The staff are SO knowledgable and helpful when it comes to choosing plants that work in certain spaces / are pet friendly etc. The plants are also very reasonably priced which is a bonus.

I accompanied a friend into this store yesterday. It was my first time and I had never heard of them before. I was very excited that the first thing I saw was a large selection of carnivorous plants. I was even more delighted to learn that they formulate a lot of their own potting mixes and treatments. They even offered to repot a plant that I was afraid to repot myself. The clerk was as generous as she was insightful with her time. I will definitely be coming back.

Truly one of the best plant shops in Victoria. They have such a nice selection of houseplants - including unique options at very reasonable prices (such as the Thai Constellation Monstera that I purchased from them, see attached). I love that they have lots of plant related gifts and accessories and I enjoy popping by the shop for a visit whenever I can. I've also taken a few of the workshops that VI Plant Shop offers and they're always great and a fun time with friends. You can tell that the team really loves what they do and are passionate about plants!

Favourite plant shop in Victoria 🙂
I try to visit at least once a month since I moved here, and I never leave empty-handed. They always have something new and interesting!
Their prices are really good, and they even have a select few "rare" plants at fair prices. The people are friendly and very knowledgeable about what they have, and it's awesome to see! Also shoutout to Reagan (if I spelled that wrong I'm sorry) for giving me advice on my first ever cactus 🙂
The points system is awesome too, as a low-income person who loves plants, it's so great. Not many plant and garden shops do this unfortunately; but gardening, even indoor gardening, is better when more people can access it! Kudos to you guys!
Ok now to a few of my recent faves from here!
Hoya lacunosa (anecdote: they hadn't put these out yet when I went in, and it was just handed to me to show - and how can I say no to a beautiful Hoya I don't have?)
Hoya curtisii
Peperomia ? (I don't actually remember what this is. If someone knows, pls tell me!)
Stromanthe sanguinea
