I’m from Edmonton. My girlfriend from Selkirk and I were to meet while I was visiting in Manitoba but on the day of our meeting, she was scheduled for a hip replacement surgery. As a Plan B, I ordered flowers for her from Victoria’s Flowers and Gifts. My friend sent a photo of the flowers. They are stunningly beautiful and she was delighted with them and with the care displayed by the person who delivered them. I recently ordered flowers from a florist in Edmonton and was very disappointed. The arrangement didn’t look anything like the photo on the website. I wish I could find a Victoria’s Flowers and Gifts in Edmonton!

Back in September, we celebrated my in-law's 50th wedding anniversary with a big party! So of COURSE, Victoria's came to mind for the centrepieces and other floral pieces! Reason for the Post:
I am not ashamed to admit this anymore...I was the victim of an online "Local Florist" Delivery Service Impersonator.

I learned what "Order Gatherers" are in the Florist industry
-the Hard way.

I live a distance away from most of my family. So I have to rely on services to deliver my gifts if I can't be there in person. I placed an online order with a well sponsored online company that claimed to be a local delivery service;
I inadvertently sent large impressive bouquets of Dead, Wilted Flowers to my Grandma, my Mom, my Mother in law... not one, but TWO years in a Row. (Why 2yrs? Obviously, they are all kind hearted and they all let me believe that they arrived okay, trying to spare my feelings...They all live in different areas) It wasn't until the second year that I was graciously informed that my Ladies were opening up a "BIG Box of disappointment" each time they received my Mother's Day presents; They were not being delivered fresh. They were not delivered with care. The order was just collected and sourced out to a random online order collection website and farmed out to be delivered with the regular mail and not treated like delicate flowers... I had no idea. But, now I know.

The Lesson: Find your ACTUAL Local Florist.

They ensure that if you want to send a bouquet of Beautiful Fresh Flowers, they will arrive to their destination still looking Beautiful.

This brings me to my Point: Rachelle @ Victoria's Flowers... Thank-you for not making me feel silly for falling for their advertising tricks. Now, if I want to send a dead bouquet of flowers to my Mom or Grandma...it will be ON PURPOSE from now on!
