The lady tour guide was very nice to us. I felt very welcome walking in to the building. She is very informative I learned alot about the CKB radio station, the salt waters and the people. I loved it. She invited us to come back.

Open spaces for historical displays related to Watrous and Manitou Beach. Well thought out with hand made historical models of buildings and trains.

I was so looking forward to spending time in watrous / manitou spring hotel. Sorry but it’s a dump. Everything needs attention. Very outdated, in disrepair, and dirty change rooms. Clumps of hair left in drains and not cleaned for the 3 days I was there. We had “pets” to wake up to in our bathroom….obviously living in the duct system…no fan in bathroom causing excess moisture and damage… toilets are from the 80’s (short) and knowing they cater to the elderly I believe that should be addressed. Pool area ….yikes… broken tiles and chipped walls…
Restaurant there had good staff and food was decent and decently priced. They also catered to GF. I understand new investors own from Toronto. Perhaps they will bring it back to a higher standard than DUMP.

We loved meeting Janice who gave us a tour and told many stories related to the displays. Wish we’d had more time there. It was fascinating, very well done, clean, neat, and very interesting. This museum is a fine example of community coming together to tell their stories and remind the visitors of the history of the area. I love that they have programs for school children too.

Phenomenal museum, most towns this size do not have a museum of this quality. This area has a much more interesting history than most small prairie lakes and it was a joy to learn about this history at this museum.
I was given a tour of the facility and I was constantly surprised at the high quality of this heritage centre.
I would definitely recommend visiting if you're in this area, you won't be disappointed!

Janice, was there to meet our group when we arrived. She was so very pleasant and knowledgeable. We were excited about this museum as we made many visits to Watrous and Manitou Beach as children. Janice was very happy that we shared our experiences at the pool and the beach. Highly recommend this tour. Thank you Janice for making our afternoon visit memorable.

The museum was incredible! Especially enjoyed the replica of the chalet pool. The lady that was working gave us a tour she was absolutely amazing. I totally recommend people visit this museum.
