I am a self declared home chef….
lol

I love doing long smokes on my smoker and experimenting with the finest cuts of meat. Since I started getting my meats from Wellington’s butchery I can honestly say without reservation that they have the best quality I’ve been able to get my hands on. I typically do a 24 hour smoke on a brisket , or a 10 hour smoke on dinosaur ribs or 8 hour smoke on a turkey, or even just a 3 hour smoke on a ribeye. They’re is no comparison to the quality . The nearest I can think of would be Costco as a second place , but Costco would be 50 % less . Their beef is literally like eating butter .

Recently ordered a 5lb prime rib roast online and was so impressed with the whole process! I was able to get it delivered to my house the next morning and could even track my order. The meat was high quality and exactly as advertised! I would highly recommend and will be returning.

While walking along Wellington Street in Ottawa, we discovered this butchery. The store was busy but was well staffed. We browsed around and found the store well organized and clean. They had many different assortment cuts of meat to suit all types of one's budget. We bought some bison burgers and steaks. We bbq'd the steaks the next afternoon, and they were tender and so yummy.
What impressed us was the service, and the owner approached us and asked if we had any questions. It was nice to actually see the owner taking an interest in the customers.
We will be visiting this fine butchery again.

Update - May 2021
My partner and I had a craving for restaurant quality chicken wings so we decided to call Wellington Butchery to see what they had. They provided us fresh, local wings and WOW!!! They were amazing! Check-out the latest photos and see for yourself.

I recently found this little gem and it has quickly become one of my favourite stores in Ottawa!

Every interaction with the staff has been amazing and of course the quality of the meat is outstanding.

I have used the curbside pick-up several times now and each time my order was accurate and easy to use.

I recieved some help finding ingredients for what I was cooking and found everything I needed and then some! The cuts also looked SO good and the price was very reasonable!! The house made chips at check out are also ?
