Most of the seeds bought from them and planted this September came out. Good idea to label "Plant Now", as applicable. Would recommend including harvesting info on the back of the package. It would also be nice to have (flower) seeds organized by perennials / annuals. Other than that, good variety of seeds.

I have almost exclusively purchased West Coast Seeds when shopping for seeds. I appreciate having a local seed supplier and have not had any issue with the product. I was gifted a gift certificate for Xmas and eagerly placed my order in January 2025. After weeks and weeks of not receiving my order, I emailed customer service 1 - 2 - 3 times without any response other than a generic reply stating someone would get back to me when they get to my email concerns. Weeks go by without any response. I then called the customer service number. No one answered, so I left a detailed voice mail explaining my frustrations and could someone please call me back. Nothing again for over a week. Called back and finally got someone on the line. No apologies, and the explanation given was that my online order had too many details in my delivery instructions If too many delivery instructions could sideline my order for months, then limit the character count. Simple solution but not your customers' responsibility to navigate a website problem? Zero effort to offer me any bit of compensation after waiting an unreasonable amount of time for a simple seed delivery. Not a single response to my multiple emails and a frustrated voice mail. Without my own tenacity, I may never have received my order and certainly would still be waiting for someone in customer service to finally reach out to me... the Customer!!!

Paid ten dollars for a bag of Salad Blend sprouting seeds. The blend has seeds of different sizes- small, medium, and large, which seems to be a bad idea, after I tried to sprout them. Contrary to the claim on the package that the sprouts would be ready to eat in 4 to 5 days, it took 8 days before 75% of the seeds sprouted, and the medium and larger seeds (like chickpeas and adzuki beans) turned mushy or didn’t sprout. At this time whatever sprouted, like mung beans, had started to grow roots. And then there were also lots of very small seeds that did not sprout. Just a bad experiment overall. The taste was unexceptional but also too strong.

UPDATE: After my review I received a response from a company rep who was able to promptly and courteously address my concerns. She was friendly and quickly offered a compensation to me. Within the week, I received news that two new packets of sprouting seeds were on their way to me, free of charge. As a result of this I have changed my review to 5 Stars for great customer service, and my husband and I will continue to be, as has been the case for the last ten years, faithful customers of the company! Not often we get this type of customer service! Impressive.

If you like any facet of gardening, you gotta visit this garden centre. I dropped by last fall when the Dahlia Association had their completion flowers on display and walked out with their cute violas, which I came back for a second time. They have a large indoor space along with outdoor plants. Excellent selection of everything you can possibly want. Bulbs, seeds, tools. Free coffee/tea machine as you browse.

I love West Coast seeds for high quality seed garlic and crocus bulbs. While the garlic hasn't sprouted through the ground yet this winter, after only month, I already saw sprouts from the saffron crocus bulbs, and I expect to start seeing flowers in spring for harvesting my first saffron for the kitchen.

I have also had high germination rates with the packet of radish seeds I bought from a local store with a display of West coast seeds. However, the local rodent population munched on the radish sprouts, so I assume they were tasty. I have enough seeds to sow a second round, maybe next time with some more protection for the sprouts.

Seeds are really good at germination. The customer service is really helpful. Do check for number of seeds and weight. The bird suets are unfortunately not popular with my birds and they were completely ignored by the birds.

Amazing service! Hummingbird feeder base replaced quickly and at no charge

A few years ago I was gifted the Balloon Hummingbird feeder. It's a particularly nice feeder and it gives me great pleasure so I make sure it is gets cleaned and filled regularly. Considering it is outside all year, in the snow and in the sun, over the years, the little plastic flowers have begun to get brittle and break off. I sent an email to West Coast Seeds asking if it would be possible to buy a replacement base. Within hours they got back to me and told me they'd send me one for free; It arrived today, it was exactly what I needed. I certainly had expected and was willing to purchase it but they sent it at no charge and very quickly. Very well done West Coast Seeds, thank you.

Only small packages of seeds available in store, very few bulk packs, but the staff are super helpful and it’s really cute inside. I’m one of extra products available!
