As a dedicated Bengal breeder, finding a veterinarian who not only supports but truly understands the unique needs of breeding cats can be incredibly rare. That’s why I’m so grateful to have Dr. Hardy at West Niagara Animal Hospital. She’s simply amazing. All the vets here are amazing, however, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with Dr. Hardy as she has experience with the breed and similar breeds.

Dr. Hardy isn’t just a great vet she’s a true partner in the care of my cats. She respects my knowledge as a breeder and works with me to create tailored, practical care plans that put the well-being of my animals first. Unlike many clinics, she’s incredibly supportive of breeders and makes vet care accessible and sustainable, especially considering how often I need to come in. She’s flexible and fair with pricing, which I deeply appreciate as someone who uses their services regularly.

Her surgical work, especially with spays and neuters, is phenomenal. I’ve had clients jokingly call her a plastic surgeon because they can’t even see where the incision was, it’s that clean. Her talent surpasses many vets I’ve worked with in the past.

What also sets her apart is her openness she’s never pushy, never offended if you want to get a second opinion, and genuinely wants the best for the animals. I’ve even had people drive from the Toronto area (two hours away!) just to bring their cats to her because of how amazing she is.

If you’re a breeder, pet owner, or anyone looking for a compassionate, skilled, and collaborative vet, Dr. Hardy is the one. I’m beyond grateful to have her on my team.

Great experience bringing our two cats for their first vet visits. Staff were very patient and understanding with our outdoor cats who sometimes have a mind of their own. They also give great advice about some issues we were having. Happy to have our cats vaccinated, fixed (no more kittens!) And given a clean bill of health. I highly recommend west niagara animal hospital for any needs your pet may have!

Dr.Hardy and her staff are wonderful we went on the recommendation of a friend when we got our wheatie pup .She had just started there and daisy was my first pup as an adult and they were patient and helpful with all my new mum moments. Always happy with how my dogs are treated here, they take their time to answer all of my questions and concerns but never push me on doing anything that I feel uncomfortable with. I just wish that we found them sooner.

Yesterday my cat, Rio, had his first visit at West Lincoln Animal Hospital. He was due for some vaccines and a checkup. We were greeted by Karen, who was amazing. Rio is a two year old bengal cat that has never enjoyed going to the clinic. She was very patient, calm, and gentle with him despite Rio trying to swat, scratch, bite her. Dr. Hardy was quick to enter the room after she could hear a very unhappy kitty. She promptly started her exam, checking his ears, eyes, and feeling around his body for any lumps or bumps. She explained everything she was going to do and worked quickly to minimize Rio's stress. Karen and Dr. Hardy were so kind, they could definitely see that I was a bit uncomfortable as this was my first time actually being in the clinic with Rio and I had never seen him behave this way. They reassured me that some cats really don't like going to the vets and that his behaviour was nothing they couldn't handle. They finished up the exam and quickly gave him his vaccines. They then put him back into his carrier as he was more comfortable in there. Dr. Hardy then spent the time discussing topical solutions for flea, tick, heartworm and parasite control. She explained the difference between the two medications the clinic uses and recommended one based on Rio's lifestyle of supervised backyard time, hikes, and his career as my own professional fly catcher. Dr. Hardy also suggested if Rio needs to come in for another visit in the future, to call the office ahead of time to pick up a mild sedative to give him before his visit, just to make his experience a little less stressful. I can't recommend West Lincoln Animal Hospital enough, the team was caring and and very passionate about their work. I was also very pleased with the affordable pricing. Thank you again for keeping Rio happy and healthy.

I can’t say enough good things about the team at West Niagara. We have been clients now for 3 years and have referred friends and family to the clinic. All of the staff, vets & techs are kind and thorough while still being upfront and honest about costs and their care advice. I went today for the first time with my Corgi Oliver who is 15 mths. Dr Hardy and all the staff were lovely. Dr Harvey took so much extra time to make sure Oliver was as relaxed as he could be and even when he was a bit testy she remained calm and kind. I would highly recommend this hospital!
