For some reason every nursery only have red cosmos this year. I find plants are generally smaller and more expensive. Wildwood has great fountains and water features. Lots of healthy shrubs and although May is a bit late for starting baskets...Wildwood had a nice selection. I purchased and interesting potted plants...

Wildwood has requested I write a review about the tulip bulbs that I purchased this past November. While I can not rate the tulips individually as of yet, the bulbs were robust, beautiful bulbs which I planted in big plastic pots now in the garage awaiting spring. I ordered right before the Postal strike began and was so relieved that they came Purolator! It made the difference of me having some lovely tulips as opposed to not any.

The plants arrived as soon as weather permitted them to ship and they are simply the most gorgeous bare root plants I have ever bought. I received my order in mid-October. The selection was so great despite a few of the things I really loved being sold out. I still ended up having to narrow down my choices, and I’m thrilled about what I’ve received.

I have never grown bulbs before, so I have a hard time relating to the quality but everything seems like it’s excellent. Shipping was fast, communication about shipping and delivery was awesome, and I can’t wait to “dig” in! I will update my review if my opinion changes but here’s hoping it all goes well.

Update (Feb; 4 months after ordering): Out of the 100 or so bulbs that I ordered (14 ish varieties), maybe 5 or 6 were rotten by the time planted them. I was, however, very late planting. I was busy with uni courses when I received my bulbs in October, so I didn’t prepare the majority of them in pots until the very beginning of January (after being reassured by someone in the area they would likely still be okay). By the time I got to them, some of them had already started sprouting while stored in the box, which I’m sure means they’re healthy!! I finally potted the rest tonight (mid Feb, before a final cold snap or two), so HOPEFULLY they all still produce for me. If they don’t, I don’t think it says anything about the quality - just get them in soil and stored appropriately as quickly as you can! Fingers crossed, because I would loooove to see and enjoy them all!!

Update (July): Well, I have disappointing news. I had very few things come up in the spring. I got four beautiful tulips, three increeeedibly fragrant hyacinths, and handful of gorgeous daffodils and one iris. Somehow, I also got a mystery muscari? I had some other greens of iris and tulips come up but not produce. I’ve pre-ordered more bulbs for next year and will try another method (including planting them asap). I also hope that if I treat the bulbs I do have blooming right, I’ll be able to save them for next year too.

We look for replacements new hot tub for every store in Victoria. Communication between us and Jason was great, he was always updating us. Delivery company was also great, on time and they did great job.

We were shopping around for a new hot tub, and we were really disappointed by the companies in the area and how they kind of bait and switch and try to upsell you on features you don't want. Then we went to Wildwood and met Jason. And what a difference. Lots of great info, hot tubs to look at, pricing was right on the units...and so we made a decision literally on the spot. Jason was amazing, everything went to plan and the hot tub crane delivered to our deck on the day it was promised. A great experience end to end.

They have a great selection of Proven Winners and other annuals in the 2.5" pot size. They are one of the few businesses that offer an early selection of these basket stuffers. The staff is polite, knowledgeable, and personable. I have been shopping here since Gord was the TV star of "Get Up & Grow," airing on Check-TV in the '90s.
