I'm beyond thrilled with the service and professionalism given by Craig over the last 14 yrs and now with the new owner Mala! Craig is still on-site doing what he does best - making wine! Craig has a wealth of knowledge and not only have I had superb wine over the last several years but I've learned a lot about wine thanks to Craig. I've purchased many selections of red, white and a few years back got introduced to a Reserve Grenache Rose from Australia which has been a huge hit to family & friends especially in the summer months. In a nutshell, all the wine I've purchased is EXCELLENT!!! I've never been a "Merlot" gal but one day Craig said I should try Stag's Leap as its top shelf in the Merlot family. Well, he didn't disappoint. It's been a regular selection now for years! Must share an experience I had to prove just how good the wine is!! I brought a bottle of red to a friends (can't remember if it was Shiraz, Cab Sav or Merlot etc). While there, they had a neighbour drop by who's a "wine snob". The guys were drinking beer but this guy asked if he could have a glass of red instead, so naturally we gave him some. He left the room to join the guys and came back moments later and said "What's this wine called, where's it from...it's really good!" I then replied that I made it with Craig at WineExpert in Pickering where I live and he couldn't believe it. After he left the room, my friend told me that they were out for dinner with this guy at The Keg and none of their wine listed on the menu was up to his standard so he ordered a cocktail instead. So, there you go...I consistently get EXCELLENT wine at WineExpert/Pickering for a GREAT price. They often have special promos throughout the year as well. I highly recommend making your wine here! Simple & Easy. All you have to do is order it and bottle it when its ready. CHEERS ?

We came to the store for the first time last year. We ordered the Pinot Grigio. We loved it! At Christmas we had a little competition with our family (adults only) 5 of us bought a bottle of white wine each from the LCBO. We slipped in a bottle of the Pinot Grigio from Winexpert. There were no labels showing, we put them in identical brown bags. We all sipped the wines then voted for our favourite. Guess which wine won Our Pinot Grigio!! Highly recommend this place! Wonderful service - thank you Mala! And wonderful wine!!!

I can't say enough good about my experience with Craig. He is so knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful. 100% customer service given. The shop is very clean and sanitized after you finish bottling at your station. If you are in the habit of making your own wine I highly recommend you visit this store. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Craig for making my experience so much fun!

We have been making wine with Craig for years and it's always a great experience. He is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful & very skilled at what he does. Old Vine Zinfandel is a favorite and spectacular with just the right amount of oak. Try the unoaked chardonnay--delicious. Can't recommend Winexpert enough!

No word of a lie, I drive minium 6 hours round trip from just east of Algonquin Park because Craig makes the best wine in Ontario. I tried a few places closer to home but nothing compares. Now, after almost 20 years I don't look anymore.

Update March 2023, Craig has sold the store to Mala and she's wonderful. Craig is still there helping her get up to speed and rocking the best playlist ever. I trust Mala will do very well in the business. She's very friendly and knowledgeable and chats comfortably as if she's been slinging carboys for 20 years.

My parents has been coming here for years. Awesome place and delicious wine!! (I have taste tested theirs many times over the years)..
I just put my first order in with Craig. Super easy and laid out all of our options for wine wedding favours. Looking forward to bottling in a few weeks! Thanks Craig 🙂

What a fabulous and fun experience making wine here. Craig is very friendly and knowledgeable and the best part is the wine is amazing. For our first bottling we tried the Super Tuscan and Bordeaux we were so impressed that we are making it again!
