The only positive I have for Zehrs is the bakery section, where it is usually not an issue to find fresh bread. No complaints about the service here, everyone seems to be doing their best. However, from a grocery perspective I have come to expect a fairly limited selection across the board, particularly true for produce. In many cases produce (e.g. lettuce) is old and unappetizing. The building itself is lacking basic maintenance, with the roof leaking in the same spot (right by the produce) for at least a year. With the prices being charged it's hard to understand how a better standard of quality is not possible.

Employees on the floor were very helpful in helping me locate products and friendly as well.
The cashier was busy flirting with another customer 2 lines over and didn't show much interest in the customers she was actually serving.

Sadly, came into the Zehrs garden center excited to get some plants. Was greeted with literal scowls from one employee and the other did not even bother to respond to my greeting or acknowledge me at all. Not once!
I left with none of their low quality expensive plants.

Want good prices and good quality?! Try Mennonite nurseries. These big stores don’t care about the customer and never have!

Terrible quality food lately. Not sure what's going on but I won't be wasting my money here anymore. I'm furious at the amount of expensive food I've had to throw away recently. Expiry dates are fine but the food is definitely not.

Top sirloin three packs were advertised this week. Went in and there were a handful (4-5) of picked over packs that were HORRIBLE cuts… steaks I might buy for my dog.

I went over to the butcher counter to ask when new packages were being put out and I got “not for a while”. I asked how long a while was and the answer was “maybe an hour, I dunno”. Keep in mind the other guy probably had 25+ cut steaks on the counter in front of them, and there were some already packaged on their meat carts.

I asked the manager if there was anything that can be done, and she radioed in and they said “nothing is cut”. Let’s say the cut meat I saw wasn’t the same steak… shouldn’t you be prioritizing getting your advertised meat out for purchase?

If you can’t keep your meat items in stock on a Saturday, you need more competent and less snarky staff.

Great produce section. Love all the premade salads and vegetable and fruit trays. Nice cashiers and atmosphere. Been using there delivery service lately and absolutely love it. Place my order online and have it delivered right to my door for a reasonable fee.
